Kim Kardashian posted more photos and videos on Instagram Sunday night of the Pomeranian puppies she gave her children as Christmas presents.
Kim Kardashian, 45, is facing criticism from fans and the animal rights group PETA for buying dogs instead of rescuing them from a shelter.
Despite everything, she still shared several videos over the weekend of her two youngest children, Chicago and Psalm (who will be eight and six years old respectively on January 15th), enjoying time with the cute animals.
Ingrid Newkirk, who founded PETA, criticized the extravagant holiday gift and supported those who spoke out against the celebrity who received it.
Newkirk also criticized Khloe Kardashian for getting her kids dogs instead of adopting from a local shelter.

Besides Chicago and Psalm, the reality star also has two older children, North, age 12, and Saint, age 10, with her former husband, Kanye West.
On Sunday, she shared videos on Instagram Stories of her children playing on the floor of her home with the family dogs.
In a separate video, a happy Chicago, with glitter on her face, smiled while hugging a blonde dog. Her mom was next to her, holding two dogs with darker fur.
As someone who advocates for mindful living, I was really disappointed to see the situation with the homeless animal population overlooked. I’m hoping Kim and Khloe, who’ve previously brought animals into their homes, will consider reaching out to PETA or a local shelter next time. It would be amazing if they also involved their children by volunteering at a shelter, sponsoring an adoption event, or even funding a spay day – anything to help address the growing number of animals in need. It’s about taking responsibility and making a positive impact, and I truly believe everyone can contribute to a more compassionate world.

Some fans took to Reddit to speak out against her approach to finding the household pets.
‘Puppies are not Christmas gifts for kids,’ one Reddit user wrote.
Someone else agreed, saying that animals shouldn’t be given as gifts unless the recipient has specifically asked for one and is prepared to care for it properly. They felt it was wrong to give pets as surprises.
Someone else pointed out that if each child gets their own puppy, it loses its specialness. They questioned how the siblings would learn to share affection for a single pet if they each have their own dog, treating it more like a virtual pet than a beloved animal.
Someone else pointed out that people often don’t understand the commitment of pet ownership. They get animals simply to show off, because they’re small and cute, or because their children want one. But once the pet grows larger, they lose interest, which is frustrating and unfair.
‘This is honestly so sad,’ said yet another upset social media user.
The four new canine additions to the family aren’t the only Pomeranians that Kardashian has.
She also has dogs Sushi and Sake, whom she adopted with her sister Kourtney Kardashian in 2017.
