Kim Kardashian cried two weeks before taking the California State Bar exam last July, as shown in a personal eight-minute video she posted online Sunday.
The 45-year-old, who is trying to become a lawyer and has nearly 500 million social media followers, sighed and said she was exhausted as she began to record a video.
It feels like whenever I make progress, something gets in the way and holds me back.
Kim was overwhelmed and on the verge of tears. She confessed she felt like giving up, explaining that her mind was racing and she had a lot left to deal with, making her feel like she couldn’t cope.
Just hours before, Kardashian confidently responded to critics who questioned her choice of an online program over law school, daring them to ‘Try it. Try it.’
The criminal justice reform advocate said they weren’t particularly concerned with things like that.

It seems like people simply don’t understand what I’m going through, and honestly, I’m not interested in them understanding. Their experiences are different from mine, and that’s okay.
Kim explained that she prepared for the test for four months, and in the final two weeks, she intensely reviewed one subject each day with help from her professors. She was able to focus on her studies because her children were on vacation.
‘I really, really want it,’ Kardashian said.
Being a mother of four and going through multiple divorces had taken a toll on her, causing both sleep problems and a back injury. An MRI revealed she had some problems with the discs in her spine.
Kim explained she’d been upset recently, but didn’t want to dwell on it, saying, ‘Everyone goes through tough times.’
‘But my back went out and it was just the worst timing in the whole wide world.’
Kardashian’s back was still ‘spasming’ three days before test, and she began wearing a brace.
‘I feel really good about everything,’ The Kardashians producer-star said the day before the exam.
I’m feeling much better physically today. It’s a big improvement from the past few days, and I feel ready to go.
Kim found out on November 7th – the day her Hulu show, All’s Fair, launched – that she hadn’t passed the bar exam. She needed a score of at least 1,390 out of 2,000 to pass, and unfortunately didn’t reach that minimum.
‘It was disappointing, but it wasn’t the end,’ Kardashian captioned her Instagram post.

This dream is incredibly important to me, and I’m determined to achieve it. I’ll keep working hard, learning everything I can, and prioritizing my own growth until I succeed.
Kim Kardashian, who doesn’t believe the 1969 Moon landing actually happened, will take the challenging two-day exam in person again on February 24th and 25th.
After passing the challenging ‘baby bar’ exam in 2021—following three previous attempts—the Calabasas socialite finished California’s Law Office Study Program on May 21st.
Kim Kardashian always admired her late father, Robert Kardashian, and hoped to become a lawyer like him. He was famously part of the legal team that defended O.J. Simpson during his 1995 murder trial.
Kim Kardashian’s video blog post received lots of positive feedback, including a message from her sister Khloé, who expressed how proud she was of Kim’s hard work and dedication. Khloé encouraged her to keep going, saying she believed in her.
Kim Kardashian, who is half-Armenian, is even wealthier now that her shapewear brand, Skims, is worth $5 billion. The company recently received $225 million in new funding, adding to her existing $1.7 billion fortune.
Our Chief Commercial Officer and founding partner announced last Wednesday that we’ve reached a major milestone: becoming a global retail brand that connects with customers across all channels. This success is thanks to the dedication of our team and partners.

We’re excited to keep growing Skims by pushing boundaries and leading the way in our industry.
I’m a huge fan of Kim’s work, and I was so excited to see her as Allura Grant in Ryan Murphy’s new legal drama, All’s Fair! She’s fantastic as a divorce lawyer who runs a firm made up entirely of women. While it hasn’t gotten the best reviews, I’m still tuning in every Tuesday on Hulu and Disney+ to support her and see what happens!
Kim Kardashian is both a producer and star in the tenth season of her family’s reality show, The Kardashians, which you can watch on Hulu every Thursday.
She has several exciting projects on the way, including a live-action “Bratz” movie for Amazon MGM Studios where she’ll both produce and star. She’s also producing a Hulu pilot called “Group Chat” featuring La La Anthony, and will star in a comedy called “The Fifth Wheel” directed by Eva Longoria for Netflix. Plus, she’s set to star in a thriller for Amazon written by Natalie Krinsky.
