Kim Kardashian appears to have been gifted Elon Musk’s $30K Tesla Bot as they make creepy hand heart gesture
As a lifestyle expert with a rich background in technology and pop culture, I must say that Kim Kardashian‘s interaction with Elon Musk’s Tesla bot has left me both fascinated and slightly concerned. It’s an incredible leap forward in artificial intelligence, no doubt, but the eerie resemblance to the robots in the movie “I, Robot” is hard to ignore.
In an Instagram post shared on Monday, Kim Kardashian experienced an unusual encounter with Elon Musk’s $30,000 robot from Tesla.
The television personality, aged 44, was caught on camera returning a wave from the robot, which reciprocated the gesture. Afterward, they asked the automated device to form a heart shape with its hands.
Kardashian was shocked as the robot was able to complete the gesture.
The robot pantomimed as if running, performed a hula dance, and pointed to its head area when queried about its height.
Kardashian asked the robot to play rock paper scissors – with the machine duly complying.
The star is a noted fan of the Tesla brand and is often snapped in her cybertruck.
It is not known of the robot was loaned to her or she had been gifted the item.
Only a few days past, the celebrity was gliding along Pacific Coast Highway in her freshly acquired high-tech vehicle on a Thursday. However, a police officer flagged her down due to the tint on her front windshield, according to reports from TMZ.
Apparently, the tint was too dark for California’s vehicle regulations.
Insiders said that Kim ‘kept it cool’ with the cops, even after being cited.
To avoid a penalty, she needs to rectify the tint issue and then present proof of this correction at the local sheriff’s office.
Kim has encountered problems with window tinting before. In the year 2013, she was issued a warning for having dark windows in another car as she drove through Calabasas, according to TMZ.
In February 2024, Kim acquired her inaugural Cybertruck, which she later expanded with a stylish matte black model in May.
On AI Day, held on September 30, the multi-purpose robot (suitable for both industrial and household tasks) made its grand entrance. This unveiling followed its initial announcement during AI Day in August of last year.
‘Tesla Bots are initially positioned to replace people in repetitive, boring, and dangerous tasks.
But the vision is for them to serve millions of households, such as cooking, mowing lawns, and caring for the elderly,’ Musk wrote in an essay published in China Cyberspace magazine.
However, numerous social media users have started to make references to the 2004 sci-fi film I, Robot, which is set in 2035, following the release of Musk’s robots’ clips.
In the heart of Chicago, an action-packed movie unfolds with advanced robots taking over various public roles worldwide. These robots adhere to a trio of rules designed for human protection as they carry out their duties.
Several concerned viewers of Musk’s video left comments likening the Optimus droids to the movie.
‘Am I the only one who remembers iRobot?’ wrote one X, formerly Twitter, user.
‘iRobot just became reality,’ warned another.
A third added: ‘Somebody call Detective Spooner! I’m getting i, Robot chills.’
‘No, thank you. I saw ‘I, Robot,’ said one more.
Another person interjected, “This looks familiar. Isn’t it the movie ‘I, Robot’ starring Will Smith? It doesn’t have a happy ending.
In 2022, Musk clarified that the design of the android, originally called the Tesla bot, was intentionally crafted in such a manner.
The Tesla Robot, much like a grown human in size and mass, possesses the ability to handle and lift hefty items, moves swiftly by taking short steps, and sports a facial screen that functions as an interactive platform for communicating with people.
You might be curious about our decision to give this robot legs. The reasoning behind it is that most interactions in human society involve a bipedal, humanoid figure equipped with two arms and ten fingers, which closely resembles the design of the robot we’ve created.
In simpler terms, for a robot to adjust to its surroundings like a human and perform tasks similar to ours, it needs to have approximately the same size, form, and abilities as a human, according to Musk.
