Kim Kardashian has admitted she made a mistake with some of her daughter’s fashion choices.
As a longtime fan, I was really surprised and honestly a little upset when I saw photos of North West wearing a corset while out with her mom in Rome this summer. It caused a lot of discussion, and a lot of people were critical of the choice, and I can see why.
Kim didn’t initially respond to the criticism, but she’s now admitted she’s still growing as a parent. She explained that her daughter, North, simply wanted to dress like her friends and was exploring her own style.
Kim recently discussed on the Call Me Daddy podcast how challenging and fascinating it is that all the children are dressing alike.
Then my daughter tried it on, and I immediately regretted letting her, deciding it was a one-time thing. The problem is, it all happened publicly for everyone to see.
She typically prefers a more masculine style of clothing, but she wanted to experiment with something her friends were wearing. She went to the same store as them, and it became clear that the outfit might not be a good fit for her.
Kim explained that becoming a mother is a constant learning process. She added that her baby is a very good and sweet child.
She learns from her experiences, especially when she’s been direct or taken action.
She does hear what I say, but when it comes to things like her appearance, I let her do what makes her happy. Seeing her so joyful is important to me, and I’d never stifle her creativity.
When North showed off her vibrant blue hair, people online had mixed reactions, with some believing the look was too grown-up for someone so young.
Yet Kim revealed her daughter had seen the discourse and had a very sassy response.
Kim remembered her daughter being surprisingly mature, explaining that she doesn’t worry about what others think – even about things like her blue hair or other personal choices.
She’s very self-assured and openly says she wouldn’t associate with certain people, commenting on their appearance and style.
Kim shared that she’s doing her best as a parent, especially while raising four children on her own, and she’s proud that her kids are well-behaved.
Please be understanding and patient with single mothers raising pre-teens – it’s a really challenging time for them as they navigate everything.
