Killers of the Flower Moon Star Dies at 45: Devastating Cause of Death Revealed
45-year-old Samuel French, who played a role in “Killers of the Flower Moon“, passed away tragically last Friday at a hospital in his hometown of Waco, Texas.
Initially announcing the sad news, Paul Sinacore, the director of Samuel’s last movie “Towpath,” shared that Samuel had passed away.
‘Samuel was a dear friend and an incredible actor,’ Paul said in a statement.
Samuel’s passion for acting sparked brightly in every scene – raw, bold, and vibrant. He poured all of himself into his work, and it shone through. I am profoundly sorrowful about his passing, wishing only that he could have seen the finished product. He was unique, and his spirit will live on within us forever.
According to THR, French has been fighting a type of cancer that spread throughout his body during the last two years.
The deeply religious individual, who referred to the year 2024 as the most dreadful in human history, looked haggard in his last selfie taken on April 23. He labeled it, “Receiving IV for essential hydration…

For the past year, Samuel often shared experiences related to his recovery at the mineral-rich hot springs of De Leon Springs State Park, as well as sessions involving red light saunas and hyperbaric oxygen therapies.
In Martin Scorsese’s 2023 crime drama, Killers of the Flower Moon, French notably played the undercover FBI agent CJ Robinson, sharing a significant one-on-one scene with Robert De Niro.
‘No one could have played Robinson as well as you did,’ Scorsese told him -according to Sinacore.
On August 2nd, the actor known for “Blood Dried Hands” publicly declared his retirement, citing persistent challenges within the industry over a 13-year period and limited support.
Samuel penned, “My acting career hasn’t entirely caused the issues I’m dealing with healing from today, but it has played a significant role in them.
In my passionate journey, every ounce of strain, each setback, and those who caused me more pain than joy have left their mark. Yet today, I chose to relinquish it all. Oh, what an extraordinary sensation, a liberation I once believed was unattainable. To everyone I’ve collaborated with or encountered, it has been an honor to co-create with you, and I wish you nothing but prosperity and joy.
