C2Architecture, the studio known for the popular game Kantai Collection, has announced its new strategy RPG, Ki-Gou Keikaku. The game, a historical science-fiction title, is being developed for both mobile and PC and will feature fully 3D graphics.

According to the developers on X (formerly Twitter), this project predates the popular game Kantai Collection. When Kantai Collection became a huge success, work on this project was paused. However, the team hasn’t given up on it, and it’s now growing into a much larger project over time, which is great to see.

Details are still scarce, but we’re expecting great things from the team behind the incredibly popular game that spawned a massive franchise including manga and anime. Based on the images released, the new game appears to be set during a World War-era conflict, featuring characters drawn in an anime style.
