Khloé Kardashian has hinted she’d be interested in a lavender marriage.

As a champion of modern living, I’ve been keeping an eye on trends that could shape our future, and one fascinating concept that has caught my attention is the resurgence of “lavender marriages” as proposed by social media influencer AJ Donkers in his latest Instagram video. This intriguing idea, inspired by the harmonious blending of lavender fields, encourages partnerships where both individuals maintain their unique identities while fostering a deep and beautiful union. It’s all about appreciating each other’s differences and growing together in love and understanding.

His thinking is that many women and gay men may feel tired or fed up with the traditional dynamics between men, yet they can form fantastic friendships and life partners with each other.

A “lavender marriage” refers to a union where at least one partner identifies as homosexual, yet they portray themselves as straight to avoid societal discrimination and prejudice.

In the 1950s, as well as before this period, it was customary for same-sex marriages to be uncommon due to their illegality. This was an era where same-sex couples often kept their relationships hidden because they were not socially accepted.

In a response to the post, the 40-year-old founder of Good American, expressed her feelings using multiple hand raise emojis and a purple heart emoji.

Khloé has faced some challenges in her romantic relationships. She started dating Lamar Odom just a month prior to their marriage in 2009.

Previously known NBA player, aged 45, faced a widely known struggle with substance abuse. Throughout this challenging time, Khloé stood by his side, offering support and seeking professional assistance for him to overcome the issue.

Apart from his reality TV stint, Odom had a history of DUI offenses and infidelity, which eventually led to the filing of divorce by his then-spouse in 2013.

Two years on, she decided to withdraw the legal case filed earlier. This was so that she could make necessary medical decisions for him following a drug overdose incident in 2015, which left him in a coma.

2016 marked the end of a long-term relationship for Khloé, but later in the same year, she started a new romance with NBA player Tristan Thompson, who was 33 years old at that time.

In the thrill of spring 2018, I was overjoyed as they brought their precious daughter True into our world. Yet, just a few short months later, in the chilly grasp of February, my beloved Khloé found herself entangled in the web of betrayal spun by Jordyn Woods, a friend close to her sister Kylie Jenner.

They broke up after that but got back together a year and a half later in August 2020.

In June 2021, Khloe and Tristan called it quits once more, but around a year later, they brought their son Tatum into the world with the help of a surrogate.

Dating isn’t likely to be straightforward for her, given she’s a family member, a mom of two, a woman approaching middle age, and well-known in the public eye.

In a recent episode of The Kardashians, Khloé shared some of her disastrous dating experiences.

One of her worst romantic prospects was a man she came to dub a ‘pee boy.’

Reflecting on my past relationships, there was a time when I shared a sleepover with someone – the specifics of our intimacy are hazy in my memory now, but I believe it happened. Unfortunately, during that night, he had an accident and wet the bed.

‘And I was like, OK, that’s weird, obviously. ‘Cause we’re adults,’ she added.

The event was apparently so embarrassing for both parties that they stayed mum about it.

She went on to say, “He never mentioned it, we never discussed it, so I figured it might not have occurred at all, since we hadn’t brought it up.

Khloé said she gave the man a second chance spending the night, only for him to wet the bed again.

‘He’s peeing the bed like he’s a f***ing child,’ she recalled gossiping to her sister Kim.

After that point, he became widely recognized as a ‘toilet attendant,’ but it appears Khloé cut ties with him soon thereafter. She jokingly stated, “We don’t require toilet attendants anymore.

In another unfortunate encounter on the dating scene, she crossed paths with a notably handsome gentleman in a hotel lift, who seemed to struggle with managing his emotions effectively.

The unexpectedly charming encounter prompted them to arrange a future rendezvous at a hotel room for further acquaintance, however, he broke down in tears instead.

According to her, he started crying after saying she was such a nice person.

‘Clearly these are not normal emotions because we have not done anything yet and we can’t even have a chat,’ she said. ‘I just remember being like, how do I get out of this place?’ Khloé continued. 

‘I have a grown man who’s crying over a cheeseburger, saying how great I am.’
