Khloe Kardashian recently spoke about her former husband, Lamar Odom, who used to play basketball for the Los Angeles Lakers.
During Wednesday’s episode of her podcast, Khloe In Wonderland, the 41-year-old reality TV star revealed that her ex-husband once intentionally damaged some of her most cherished belongings while they were married.
The designer from Good American was deeply upset by the experience, describing it as traumatic and saying it caused her to scream and cry, as she shared on her show.
It was a deeply upsetting experience for her. Kardashian recalled crying uncontrollably, with tears pouring down her face. She described being on her knees, screaming in distress.
Her diaries were the personal belongings he destroyed. The 46-year-old athlete burned them all in a fire, reacting to a difficult day.
Kim Kardashian regularly wrote down her private thoughts and feelings in journals. She described everything she experienced, making the journals very personal and revealing.

My journals held everything – years of my life and so many precious memories,” Kris Jenner’s daughter explained.
Kardashian said Odom damaged her journals, which she found very helpful for processing her feelings, because he was struggling emotionally.
Honestly, it breaks my heart knowing now that when I was watching him play, he was secretly battling so much. He’s been so brave talking about it lately, but it turns out he was struggling with addiction back then. It just makes you see everything differently, knowing what he was going through behind the scenes.
Kardashian explained that he was extremely paranoid and discovered her journals. He believed she was constantly writing in them and sending the information to the government, convinced she was documenting his life for some unknown, nefarious purpose.
His hurtful action made her lose all desire to keep a journal. “It felt like everything was taken from me in an instant,” she explained, “and I wondered what the point of writing even was.”
She explained she didn’t want to start journaling again because of past experiences. Either someone would ruin it, or she’d lose it, and revisiting that felt too upsetting.
She then changed her outlook on material items.

She explained that the experience made her realize nothing truly lasts, and she’s come to accept that. She used to cling to things, even writing things down only to discard them later, but now she doesn’t try to recreate what’s been lost.
Kardashian said she wishes the books were still around.
‘I wish I had those books just to see like, what were my thoughts then,’ she said.
The great thing about keeping a journal is that when you look back after a few years – whether it’s two, five, or ten – you realize how much you’ve changed. You might think, “Wow, I was so naive!” or “I can’t believe I used to worry about that!” It’s a reminder of how perspectives shift over time.
The founder of the Almost Always perfume line ended by saying she really enjoyed creating fragrances and misses doing it now.
Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom began dating in 2009 and married quickly, just a month later. She filed for divorce in 2013, but remained supportive when he experienced a near-fatal overdose in a Nevada brothel in 2015. Their divorce was finalized the following year, in 2016.
