Khloe Kardashian makes rare comments about her stepmother who she claims ‘took everything’ after her dad died

Khloe Kardashian recently talked about her stepmother, Ellen Pierson, on her podcast, Khloe In Wonder Land.

Okay, so I was totally glued to what Kim was saying, and it was heartbreaking. She was talking about getting her dad’s bible back, and then she mentioned his third wife – the one who married him when he was, like, so sick. It just… it really got to me. It’s just so sad thinking about everything, and her trying to hold onto pieces of him. I can’t even imagine.

She explained that she doesn’t own any of her father’s belongings. After he passed away, a woman married him very shortly before his death and then took possession of all his things, leaving her with nothing to remember him by. ‘It’s a complicated story,’ she added.

Things shifted when Kim Kardashian stepped in and purchased their mother’s bible at auction for $80,000.

Robert, a highly respected lawyer, had given O.J. Simpson his personal Bible during the 1994 murder trial. After Simpson passed away in 2024, the Bible was put up for sale.

The Good American founder explained that the book is particularly meaningful because it includes a handwritten note from her father, something she doesn’t have much of. Seeing his handwriting is really special to her.

She explained that finding that particular bible, especially one engraved with her father’s name, made it incredibly meaningful and special.

The episode focused on the celebrity’s strong religious beliefs, and she mentioned keeping a special keepsake secured in a safe.

The mother-of-two described the bible being full of her father’s annotations with corners folded.

She remembered her father reading the Bible every day, waking up around 5am to do so before work. She often sat quietly in the corner of his room while he read.

I found it incredibly inspiring to see this man consistently dedicate himself to his work, be a fantastic father, and face each day with such commitment. It was truly admirable, he shared.

On a recent episode of The Kardashians, Kim gave Khloe a special religious book that their father treasured.

During the show, the billionaire behind SKIMS revealed she secretly bid on the family item because she worried its price would increase if people knew she was trying to buy it.

She explained she wanted to give it to Khloe, since Khloe was the one who told her about the auction.

Kim surprised Khloe with the present at their family’s Easter celebration.

She shared that she expresses affection by giving gifts, which is why she had brought it along. She’d cleverly convinced her family to all read from what they thought was a prayer book as a way to make it happen.

She kept her winning bid a secret from her family and looked forward to surprising them with the news.

Later in the show, Kris Jenner praised her daughter Kim, saying she’s incredibly kind and has a very big heart.
