Khloe Kardashian claps back at ‘gross’ comments about Tristan Thompson’s disabled brother Amari

Khloé Kardashian recently responded to negative comments directed at her ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson’s brother, Amari Thompson.

The 41-year-old TV personality posted a message on social media Saturday, and then shared a video of her 19-year-old daughter Amari’s dance class.

I’m dedicated to helping my teen, who has a really challenging condition called Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a rare and severe form of epilepsy. Because of LGS, they can’t speak and needs constant, around-the-clock care to stay safe and comfortable.

In a recent video, Kardashian responded to negative comments she received after sharing a clip of her son, Amari, in dance class. She said people were making rude remarks, questioning his dancing and whether he understood what he was doing, and she emphasized that such comments are unnecessary and hurtful.

Simply put, if you haven’t experienced life with someone who has special needs, and you’re unfamiliar with what brings them joy, it’s best to refrain from offering opinions.

‘And if you don’t like this type of content, you don’t have to watch it. We’re all good over here.’

Tristan became Amari’s legal guardian when their mom Andrea died of a heart attack in January 2023. 

The Kardashians and Jenners, after showcasing Amari’s birthday on their Hulu show in April, have also embraced him as part of their family life.

Kim Kardashian, who has two children with Tristan Thompson, shared on Instagram Saturday that she had permission to post videos from her daughter Amari’s dance class.

Okay, so everyone else in the class is just…background noise, honestly. I had to get permission to talk about this dance academy – it’s incredible! They do the most amazing work with special needs kids, and it’s just… breathtaking to watch. Seriously, the joy on those kids’ faces? It’s everything. I just need everyone to know how special this place is.

The celebrity admitted the classes were so moving, she couldn’t imagine anyone attending without being deeply touched and emotional. She described the experience as truly beautiful.

She ended her message by saying she won’t take any action without getting approval first, and that everyone is really happy. She encouraged people to follow her for more positive updates.

The video then showed Amari having fun in class with other students, all dancing to lively music.

Kardashian called the people at Carousel Dance Studio ‘the sweetest students and teachers.’

After sharing her initial posts, Khloe expressed her gratitude, saying, ‘Thank you to everyone for your support. The dance academy does incredible work with these wonderful kids.’

The Good American founder continued, ‘Such an honor to be a witness to such great souls.’

She confirmed that the academy had approved her post, and she believes it will be beneficial for their business by increasing visibility.

‘God bless all of these angels @carouseldancestudio.’ 

She posted a picture of herself smiling with Amari and their dance instructors, expressing her gratitude for both the dance studio and the people who work there.

In May, the TV personality shared behind-the-scenes clips from Amari’s dance performance and expressed how proud they were of him.

Kardashian and Tristan share daughter True, seven, and son Tatum, three. 

They share parenting responsibilities but are no longer a couple. Their relationship ended several years ago after a difficult period marked by infidelity on the part of the NBA player.
