Kevin Spacey Slams Guy Pearce’s ‘Scared of Him’ Claim in Fiery Video

Kevin Spacey has countered Guy Pearce’s statements that he felt intimidated by Spacey during the filming of LA Confidential in 1997.

As a lifestyle expert, I find myself compelled to address recent allegations against a once-prominent figure in our industry. At 65 years old, this individual is once again facing accusations of sexual misconduct. A former colleague, now 57, openly expressed her concerns about him on the Awards Chatter podcast. She shared: “I was intimidated by Kevin, he has a knack for being both aggressive and extremely charming. I was young and vulnerable at the time.

He mentioned that he found it easier to be at ease with Kevin when his colleague and fellow Australian, previously known as Denny (Simon Baker), was present on the set.

‘He [Spacey] would focus on Denny because he’s much better looking than me,’ Guy explained. 

In the lead roles of this suspenseful movie adaptation from James Ellroy’s book, we find Guy and Russell Crowe, who were then less recognized figures in the industry, joined by Kevin.

On Tuesday, Spacey shared a critical video on his platform, titled: “Grow up, Guy Pearce. You’re no victim.

Back then, we collaborated, and if ever you found yourself in a pickle, I was there for you, ready to discuss any issues that might have arisen.

‘My response is, grow up.

I assert that, years following our work together on LA Confidential, Pearce supposedly visited Savannah, Georgia, under the pretense of wanting to spend time with me.

He added: ‘I apologize, unless there was another reason you don’t like spending time with me.’ 

2023 saw the dismissal of sexual assault allegations against Spacey that stemmed from his tenure as the artistic director at the Old Vic theater, which took place between 2005 and 2013.

Despite being cleared of criminal charges 18 months ago, new allegations of sexual abuse have arisen against him, according to court documents from last week.

Ruari Cannon has filed a lawsuit against Kevin, along with two organizations affiliated with the Old Vic Theatre in London, at the High Court.

Dushal Mehta, representing Fieldfisher, stated that he filed a legal action on behalf of Mr. Cannon and furthermore, he chose to relinquish his confidentiality regarding this claim.

No details of the allegations involved are currently available.

Previously, Kevin had been found not guilty in court cases involving accusations of multiple sexual crimes made by four individuals from the years 2001 to 2013.

An unidentified man is among those who have taken legal action against Mr. Spacey. This individual alleges that they were inappropriately touched by the actor, an incident causing significant psychological distress. However, Mr. Spacey has refuted these claims.

The actor has denied all allegations of inappropriate behaviour and criminal wrongdoing.

During a conversation with ex-GB News host Dan Wootton last year, he stated, “I acknowledge my past behavior and actions, but I refuse to accept blame or offer an apology for false accusations or sensationalized tales fabricated about me.

Kevin, who has won the Oscar twice, is recognized particularly for his work on the American version of “House of Cards” as well as “American Beauty.

In 1996, he won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Usual Suspects, and in 2000, he received another Academy Award, this time for Best Actor, for American Beauty. This double victory also earned him a BAFTA award for Leading Actor.

In April, the actor seemed to refute allegations of inappropriate conduct depicted in Channel 4’s documentary, instead commending the male actors for their exceptional acting abilities.

Channel 4 aired a two-part documentary nine months following the acquittal of Kevin on nine sexual assault charges. The program explored renewed accusations against him, most of which were made by individuals who had previously remained silent.

A closer examination is suggested, regarding a man who was once widely admired and highly respected for his acting abilities.
