On Wednesday afternoon, the 69-year-old actor and director was seen donning a fashionable beige suit as he made his way into the Sunset Marquis hotel in West Hollywood.
Following recent events, I’ve found myself stepping out once more, this time gracing the red carpet at the 2024 History Talks event held at The Academy Museum in the vibrant city of Los Angeles – an experience that never ceases to inspire and excite.
Costner emerged from his car, wearing an unfastened white dress shirt beneath a beige overcoat, upon leaving the hotel.
As I stepped out from my car, I slipped on my black shades, clutching my phone tightly, preparing to stride into the hotel.
The actor and filmmaker completed his look with matching beige pants and brown dress shoes.
This summer saw the theater release of Costner’s newest directorial project, Horizon: An American Saga, but unfortunately, the rollout didn’t proceed exactly as intended.
The project, for which Kevin Costner took a break from his popular Paramount Network show “Yellowstone” to work on, was incredibly expansive in its plans.
The movie that debuted in June marked the beginning of a four-part series, originally planned to have its second part released in August.
Despite its premiere earning $11 million, the film went on to generate a total of $36.4 million globally. Its production budget is said to range between $50 million and $100 million.
The second installment was postponed from its initial August debut, providing more opportunity for the first movie to expand its reach on digital streaming platforms and home video sales.
In Chapter 2 of “Horizon: An American Saga,” the movie made its initial public screening at the Venice Film Festival recently. During this event, Kevin Costner acknowledged that the film had underperformed.
He mentioned that Horizon may endure well like some of his other films, as they hadn’t achieved extraordinary popularity.
Kevin considered the postponement of Chapter 2 to be an unexpected advantage, as it allowed him to debut his movie at the esteemed Venice Film Festival following the schedule adjustment.
He stated that it aligned with his original intention, which was to release films approximately every five to six months.
He confessed that it was only due to this circumstance that he could visit Venice. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have had a chance to see Venice since the movie wouldn’t be screened there if it had already been released.
The movie series will detail a 15-year period, both before and after the Civil War, showcasing the growth and colonization of the Western United States during that time.
