In response to their co-financing agreement, New Line Cinema asserts that they are owed repayment from Horizon Series. This latest issue adds another challenge to a troubled franchise, with Chapter 2 yet to be released and Chapter 3 having begun filming last year without full financing. Although Horizon Chapter 2 is anticipated to come out this year, Costner has been making efforts to speed up the production of two additional sequels.

What’s Going on With ‘Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2’?

Despite debuting at the Venice Film Festival in 2024, “Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2” has yet to have a broad theatrical launch. Originally intended to follow “Chapter 1” by a month in cinemas, the movie directed by Kevin Costner did not meet expectations at the box office, leading to the postponement of the sequel with an undefined release date. Earlier this year, actress Isabelle Fuhrman, who portrays Diamond Kittredge, hinted that “Horizon Chapter 2” might hit the screens in 2025. Fuhrman stated that she believed the film would be released sometime during that year.

I strongly suspect that the release of the movie ‘Wish You Were Here’ will happen quite soon. Although I sense they might be fine-tuning some aspects of it, I haven’t received any updates as of yet. As actors, we are often the last to know about these things. However, I was incredibly fortunate to premiere this movie at Venice and experience it with an audience for the first time. Seeing it there filled me with joy, and I can hardly wait for others to see it too. This film is so exhilarating to me because I feel that everyone involved poured their hearts and passion into its creation.

Currently, there’s no definitive release date set for Chapter 2. The movie features stars like Costner, Fuhrman, Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Ella Hunt, Will Patton, Luke Wilson, and Thomas Haden Church. Additionally, Glynn Turman, Kathleen Quinlan, and Giovanni Ribisi have joined the cast.
