Kevin Abstract x Dominic Fike Release First ‘BLUSH’ Single, “Geezer”
Summary
- Kevin Abstract has shared the first single from his forthcoming BLUSH project.
- “Geezer” is a collaborative offering with Dominic Fike, marking the pair’s first collaboration since “Peach.”
- BLUSH drops on June 7.
Following their collaboration on the song “Peach” from the album ARIZONA BABY in 2019, Kevin Abstract and Dominic Fike have reunited for a second studio track together.
Labeled as “Geezer,” this track serves as a sneak peek into Abstract’s upcoming project, titled BLUSH. According to a press release, BLUSH finds Abstract at the peak of his creative prowess, comfortably seated back in his producer’s chair, crafting an album that promises to be one of the most vibrant, sonically innovative, and downright enjoyable works in his career.
In crafting the album, Abstract utilized one of his strongest artistic talents that has propelled him into an indomitable creator of the past decade – his exceptional skill at identifying, collaborating with, and drawing out the best from a wide range of talented artists across all genres. The announcement further highlights that Abstract enlisted “an outstanding group of collaborators” to produce the brilliant record BLUSH, including Fike, Quadeca, JPEGMAFIA, Sekou, Danny Brown and Truly Young. Notably, he also brought together rising talents from Houston, whom he reconnected with after moving back home to Texas last year, placing them alongside these established artists.
At the moment of this writing, you can’t find the song “Geezer” on streaming services, but feel free to enjoy it by watching the video provided above.
Expect BLUSH to drop everywhere on June 27.
