Kerry Katona has denied taking drugs at Hugh Grant’s birthday party.

Previously from Atomic Kitten, now aged 43, unexpectedly joined in on the festivities marking Hugh’s 64th birthday bash, sharing the spotlight with notables such as Elizabeth Hurley and Dame Joan Collins.

Not long after, she shared a video on her Instagram Story where she was joking around with famous celebrities. However, she was taken aback when her audience alleged that she seemed intoxicated.

In her latest magazine article, she expressed: ‘We enjoyed a wonderful conversation, he’s such a charm. I retired to bed at approximately 10:30 pm, as I rarely manage late nights.’

Even though I shared a video on Instagram the following day, full of humor and casual conversation, many viewers accused me of being intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.

Previously on “Loose Women,” one of its panelists openly shared her battle with addiction, particularly concerning cocaine use. Earlier this year, she disclosed that she underwent reconstructive surgery as a means to repair the harm inflicted by this substance abuse.

Kerry was married to Brian McFadden, the singer from Westlife, between 2002 and 2006. She has two daughters, Molly (age 22) and Lilly-Sue (age 21), from this marriage. Later, she remarried Mark Croft and had Heidi (age 17) and Max (age 16).

Additionally, she has a nine-year-old daughter named DJ with the late George Kay, but she spent the lavish event only with Molly and Heidi.

She exclaimed, “I was astonished! I don’t consume alcohol and it was early in the day, the only thing I had was water. It can be quite frustrating that I continuously need to prove my actions.

Previously crowned victor of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, she has openly discussed her struggles with addiction. She sought help by entering rehabilitation centers in 2008 and again in 2010.

She is now 15 years strong, maintaining her sobriety with pride, and refuses to dwell on past regrets as a means of progressing forward.

To Good Morning Britain hosts Ranvir Singh and Richard Madeley, she clarified that it was her mother who initially introduced her to drugs during her teenage years when she was showing off the changes from her surgery.

In her conversation about her struggle, she shared: “Cocaine seemed like a source of strength for me, it felt like a trusted companion, offering the help I lacked, precisely when I needed it.

Instead of engaging daily, I tended to have binge periods where I couldn’t resist diving in once started, and then I would abstain for extended periods. It seemed to become a constant companion due to its popularity among others, who were often utilizing my services excessively.

At a particularly vulnerable stage in her life, she confessed that she had overdosed once, only to immediately continue using drugs by taking another dose of cocaine.

Kerry remembered: “I began using drugs at the age of 14, prior to becoming well-known. The initial drug I tried was taken with my mother.

‘Though I deeply cherish my mom and have affection for her, our relationship hasn’t always been smooth sailing. We’ve had our fair share of highs and lows, and at times, she wasn’t the kind of mother I expected. She disguised harmful substances as sherbet, which I thought was just a part of life.’

As a committed individual, I shared that although I have left my past behind me, I acknowledge the struggles of my mother’s health. It’s a fact, it has occurred, and I cannot dwell in regret or bitterness about it.

‘I need to learn to tolerate people as they are. My mother is drug-free. However, for quite some time I found myself wallowing in self-pity, lamenting “why me? The world should take care of me, it’s not my fault, it’s everyone else’s.”‘
