Kerry Katona Cancels Facelift After Kids Beg Her Not To

Kerry Katona shared that she decided against getting a lower facelift following the pleas from her kids, who didn’t want her to proceed with the procedure.

Previously, the ex-member of the band Atomic Kitten, now aged 44, had openly shared her intention to undergo a cosmetic surgery this month, expressing her eagerness about the upcoming operation.

Instead, it appears that Kerry has undergone a shift in thinking and decided to cancel the operation due to her daughters significantly influencing her choice.

In a recent chat with The Mirror, the celebrity (who underwent a corrective rhinoplasty last year) shared that the present moment isn’t suitable for her to go through with her most recent surgical operation.

She shared that her oldest three daughters strongly discouraged her, pleading with her not to proceed, even saying, “Mum, don’t, please.

She went on to explain: ‘I consider their opinions significantly in my decisions, and since they weren’t in favor of it, that had a huge influence. They believe I don’t require it presently and are aware of the challenging recovery process, so they strongly discouraged me from doing it.’

As a devoted admirer, let me tell you about Kerry: she’s the mother of four beautiful women – Molly (23), Lilly (23) – both from her union with Brian McFadden, Heidi (17), and Max (16) from her marriage to Mark Croft. She also has a 10-year-old son, DJ, with her late husband, George Kay.

As I delve deeper into the topic of why I decided against a facelift, let me share my perspective. The recuperation process, I can attest, would have been an arduous journey, reminiscent of the grueling experience I faced during my recent nose surgery. To put it mildly, that recovery phase was nothing short of a harrowing ordeal.

She mentioned that the emotional recovery process has been challenging since she appears so altered, making it difficult for her to adjust mentally. The transformation was necessitated by medical reasons, not solely for aesthetic purposes, but it proved to be a significant struggle. She admitted to experiencing fear and, at this point, doesn’t feel prepared to undergo another procedure.

She mentioned that she can’t afford a prolonged recuperation right now, since things are extremely hectic.

As of now, I haven’t scheduled any surgical procedures, but I’ve chosen a different approach. Recently, I’ve gone for some subtle enhancements that don’t require surgery – specifically, I’ve undergone Botox treatments. Furthermore, I’m considering adding some invisible fillers to my regimen in the near future.

At 44 years old, the singer asserted confidently that she was fully justified in making changes if she desired, stating bluntly that she felt no embarrassment about it.

Meanwhile, Kerry has postponed her surgery at this time, but she didn’t completely dismiss the possibility of having it done in the future.

Kerry shared that she has delayed her procedure by about a year or two, and intends to visit the Pall Mall clinic because it’s the only one she feels confident in.

In December, Kerry disclosed her intentions for a lower facelift and sought advice and encouragement from her friend Katie Price, who is particularly interested in plastic surgery.

Katie, age 46, is well-known for her affinity towards surgical interventions and has undergone multiple surgeries throughout her life, such as facelifts, breast augmentations, and nose jobs (rhinoplasty).

It’s not surprising that Kerry has sought comfort from her friend, as she expresses her excitement and anticipation about the upcoming surgery in her latest magazine column.

Disclosing her intentions, Kerry shared that she has a scheduled lower facelift for January, an event she’s thrilled about, yet it also leaves her feeling quite anxious.

I tend to feel quite anxious whenever facial procedures are involved, yet I’m confident that the outcome will be worth my apprehension.

Through her friend’s assistance, she mentioned that Katie would be visiting her as a source of moral encouragement once the task is completed, and this gesture was greatly appreciated by her.

She’s familiar with the process since she’s already undergone it. This means she can help alleviate my fears and anxieties about the procedure, as well as assist me during my recuperation.

She remarked, “Katie is currently in a fantastic mental state, and it’s truly inspiring. I couldn’t be more proud of her. Over the last few months, she’s been an incredible source of strength for me.

This surgical technique, commonly referred to as a jowl lift or mini facelift, focuses on tightening the skin beneath your jawline and neck area, primarily targeting sagging caused by aging. As explained by the NHS, this procedure aims to minimize the visible signs of aging in these regions.

On previous occasions, Kerry has opted for plastic surgery or sought help from a cosmetic specialist to change her look.

In November, she responded vigorously against unkind internet bullies who criticized her latest lip enhancement and likening her to a duck.

The former singer headed to Oxford Natural Clinic to get a top-up of her lip filler. 

On Instagram, a snippet was posted showing Kerry relaxing in a recliner while receiving her all-natural therapy session.

In July, Kerry announced her intentions for a fourth breast augmentation surgery, alongside discussing an upcoming facelift procedure she had planned.

At one point, she shared with OK! magazine: “I’m yearning for a more defined jawline through a subtle facelift and also desire a breast augmentation as my current breasts seem to be at knee level, which makes me feel self-conscious.

In June, the star appeared significantly altered following the disclosure of her recently performed rhinoplasty, causing her to shed tears.

Kerry had an operation to repair the harm done from her long-term drug use, but was saddened when the procedure changed her appearance so drastically that she no longer resembled her biological father.

Earlier, it was disclosed that Kerry had planned to have a rib taken out for the construction of her new nose, with the extracted rib serving to reduce its size.
