Kendra Wilkinson Responds to Critics Accusing Her of Holding on to Her Ex in Heartfelt Post

On a heartfelt Instagram post shared on Thursday, Kendra Wilkinson openly discussed the rumors suggesting she hasn’t moved past her ex, expressing her feelings candidly.

As a wellness enthusiast and lifestyle advisor, I find myself compelled to share a personal journey of transformation with you all. Recently, I’ve been open about my exploration with a weight-management supplement, following some unkind comments about my physique from internet critics. This experience has served as a mirror for me to contemplate the ways in which I have evolved over time.

From 2009 up until her divorce filing in 2018, the star had been married to Hank Baskett. Together they have two children, Hank IV who is now 15 years old and Alijah who turns 10 this year. Prior to that, she was one of Hugh Hefner’s romantic partners, residing in the Playboy Mansion until she left at age 23.

Kendra started off by sharing a remark that suggested she isn’t the same person as before and appears somewhat melancholic, still clinging onto her past relationship. However, she wants to clarify… indeed, she has evolved.

I have indeed mentioned in most of my interviews that I have been experiencing depression. To clarify, I am not clinging to my ex; rather, I am acknowledging the great job he does as a co-parent and showing him the respect he deserves for it.

Later on, Wilkinson clarified that she finds interviews challenging as the subject of her Playboy past is always raised during conversations.

The mother of two remarked, ‘For many years I’ve strived to move forward rather than backward, but apparently there’s an enduring desire for the past among people.’

On a positive note, Kendra told her fans that her life ‘has actually been fun and exciting.

Immersed in the company of wonderful friends and my two children. Engaging in dancing, socializing with attractive individuals, sharing laughter, playing golf, finalizing business transactions, preparing tacos, observing children’s sports events, and much more.

In wrapping up her statement, the television personality expressed, “After enduring many trials, I continue to stay optimistic. I’ve frequently shared my appreciation for my past experiences and extend well wishes to all.

Previously, the former Playboy model candidly shared her battles with mental health, revealing to People magazine that she had felt overwhelmed by despair, using the phrase “was dying from depression.

In my own words, reflecting on my experiences as a lifestyle guide, I found myself teetering at the brink of existence, plunged into a state of psychosis. It felt as though I no longer possessed the resilience to carry on living. Later, I admitted, ‘The influence of Playboy left indelible scars on my life.’

In September 2023, Kendra experienced a panic attack that led her to contact her former spouse, Hank, for assistance in getting her to the hospital.

That day, when I agreed to Hank’s offer of assistance – him driving me to the hospital – marked a significant moment in both our lives. It was an important day not just for me, but also for my family and children.

Wilkinson ascribed the beneficial impact of therapy on her to its assistance during her mental health battles, yet she clarified that depression has always been an integral aspect or part of her experience.

The therapy has constructed a toolkit for me, which gives me the power and the solid base I require to conquer my depression.

2019 marked the end of Kendra’s marriage with Hank, but their former union holds a special place as the happiest chapter in her life. This year, in March, she shared an insight about their current co-parenting experience.

In one of Amy & T.J.’s podcast episodes, she shared a heartfelt moment: “When the end finally arrived, I shattered to pieces, and it felt like death was knocking at my door. It was as if death itself had come for me.

At the age of 23, I departed from the Playboy Mansion, found myself pregnant, tied the knot at the same tender age, and embarked on my journey as a spouse and parent. These years were the pinnacle of my life.

Later on, the celebrity stated, ‘Though we are no longer married, he is the father of my children, and he is simply outstanding as a father to them. I am confident that I made the correct decision with him.’

She explained that numerous errors had accumulated over time, leading to the dissolution of her marriage.

Speaking about her search for a more meaningful relationship, Wilkinson shared with Us Weekly towards the end of last year: “I believe it’s now the right moment for me to progress beyond casual encounters. I want to grow and seek a partner who could be my husband or boyfriend.

Kendra mentioned, ‘I believe I’ll rise up as if from the dead shortly and search for my partner, wherever he may be found.’

The popular figure in the media shared that she’s curious about trying dating apps, though she admitted she’s been on the waitlist for Raya for quite a while now.

On the Amy & T.J. show, she shared some thoughts about her personal life, mentioning that she occasionally engages in intimacy, but at this point, committing to a date or a relationship seems quite implausible for her.

‘I’m in a bachelorette-type of vibe right now,’ she said and is enjoying playing the field.’

She mentioned that she currently has two energetic, handsome, former NFL players surrounding her, which gives her a youthful feeling, almost as if she’d just received a quick facial rejuvenation treatment.

Previously, Wilkinson has openly admitted that she continues to grapple with issues related to her personal relationships and perspectives on intimacy.

The television host primarily dedicates her attention towards nurturing her two sports-loving kids, one of whom plays basketball.
