Kendra Wilkinson Claps Back at Body Shamers While Celebrating Weight Loss Journey!

Kendra Wilkinson recently posted about her current weight, following a response she made towards insensitive critics who commented negatively on her physique.

Previously known as a Playboy model, now aged 39, disclosed that she has shed some weight recently and is more concerned with feeling great rather than applying excessive pressure on herself.

I just saw Kendra shared a picture on the gym’s mirrored wall, flaunting a stylish combination of a sleek black sports bra and coordinating leggings.

The mother of two also shared a video of herself showcasing her figure.

Following a social media post on her Instagram on Sunday, she openly addressed the topic of growing older and experiencing weight gain.

The former reality television personality will turn 40 on June 12. 

I’ve shed a few pounds since I started this journey, and I’ve only had one glass of champagne so far. For me, the secret is to be gentle with myself, focus on feeling good, and not push too hard under the pressure to look a certain way, or else I might burn out.” (Kendra)

She’s content with herself and aims to maintain a positive and mindful attitude. Her focus remains on real estate and motherhood in basketball. However, she does fancy a glass of wine this evening, so she’ll indulge a bit.

On Sunday, the ex-Playboy model, who confessed last year about feeling mentally unwell during her real estate TV series, additionally posted a selfie and provided an update.

The woman who has a 15-year-old son named Hank Jr. and a 10-year-old daughter called Alijah, both shared with her former husband Hank Baskett, 42, expressed to her followers that she is feeling well and mentally sound.

She penned a reflective message saying, ‘Indeed, I’ve added some pounds. Absolutely, I’m growing older. Indeed, I’m no longer the same person as before (the one known for being a playboy). But for the first time in a while, I feel good and mentally sound.’

With great joy, the content mother expressed, ‘Children are my world! I feel wonderfully well-rounded these days. I’m exercising frequently and cooking meals more often. I also enjoy golfing and focusing on work. At present, we don’t have a housekeeper or nanny.

The message continued, ‘For anyone criticizing my recent weight change or commenting on my 40-year-old appearance, just understand that I’m genuinely content, healthy, and finding tranquility in life now.’

‘Leave me alone and respect that I’m where I actually want to be finally all together.’ 

Anticipating potential criticism, she asserted, “Feeling fantastic at nearly 40! To those commenting on my drinking habits, I understand your concerns and I’ll make sure to pay more attention to it.

She acknowledged, “Excessive drinking indeed means excessive drinking, but let me tell you about something exciting in JUNE… It’s all about shots! I care for you.

At the beginning of the month Kendra shared another check-in with her audience.

This past week, I’ve found myself embracing the art of releasing and cherishing life. Establishing some attainable objectives has also been part of my journey this week.

Refreshing myself holistically – mentally, physically, and spiritually. I’m incredibly thankful for my children, friends, and work, surrounded by such wonderful individuals. For the upcoming months, I plan to moderate my alcohol consumption, and I eagerly anticipate celebrating my 40th birthday in June.

Then she added lightheartedly, ‘Maybe meet the love of my life lol.’

In the early 2000s, Kendra was well-known as one of Hugh Hefner’s romantic partners and appeared in a reality show on E! that depicted their lives at the Playboy Mansion, titled “The Girls Living in Paradise”.

She was married to her former football star beau Hank from 2009-2018.

Currently, Wilkinson is employed in the real estate sector and featured in a Discovery+ show titled “Kendra Sells Hollywood” which ran from 2021 to 2023, focusing on his work.

In November, she expressed to the public that she felt a tinge of remorse about filming her final show as she hadn’t quite prepared herself yet.

She clarified that her mental state wasn’t quite right, and she hadn’t felt ready for the camera at that moment. She also acknowledged that she hadn’t reached full recovery or a completely stable point in her journey. However, now she feels more settled about where she is.
