Kendall Jenner’s ex Bad Bunny received ‘credible death threat’ during Puerto Rican residency

Bad Bunny, who recently finished a 31-show run of his concert series in Puerto Rico, received a serious and believable threat that someone intended to kill him. This happened while he was performing his ‘No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí’ residency, and he is currently ex-boyfriend to Kendall Jenner.

On his podcast Wednesday, Puerto Rican journalist Jay Fonseca reported that 31-year-old rapper and singer NUEVAYoL reportedly had a frightening experience at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan.

Oh my gosh, you guys, he *finally* talked about it! Apparently, something happened on the very last night of the residency – the final date! He mentioned it, and it was translated from Spanish, so it’s REAL. I’m dying to know what it was!

We received a serious and believable threat against Bad Bunny’s life. Someone posted on social media that they intended to kill him, which immediately raised our level of alert. I’m making this information public now.

I had a feeling right then, though I can’t explain it now. Security was extremely tight – they were being extra careful and keeping everything very confidential.

As a lifestyle and event safety expert, let me tell you, the Bad Bunny concert was massive! We’re talking a completely packed stadium – over 19,500 people! Because of the scale and potential risks, security was incredibly tight. It wasn’t just local personnel either; we had federal security teams, including the FBI and the Department of Public Safety, all on site. There were initial concerns about a possible armed individual, which naturally heightened everyone’s awareness and security measures.

Fonseca mentioned that the event even had Secret Service security present, as Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor was in attendance.

It’s unknown whether the person who issued the threat has been arrested. The Daily Mail has contacted the Grammy-winning artist’s representative for more information about this concerning incident.

Earlier this month, Bad Bunny (whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) explained his decision not to include U.S. dates on his next tour. He worried that concerts could become targets for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

“Yes, absolutely,” the actor, known for his role in ‘Caught Stealing,’ told i-D magazine on September 10th. He explained he had several reasons for not being in the US, but assured readers it wasn’t due to any dislike of the country, as he’d performed there often.

The shows have all done very well and have been truly wonderful. I’ve especially loved connecting with Latinos who live in the United States. And doing a residency here in Puerto Rico is particularly meaningful, considering its unique status as a US territory.

We were worried about whether people from the US, especially Latinos and Puerto Ricans, would be able to come to the show. A major concern was the possibility of ICE being present and potentially causing problems for attendees, and we discussed this a lot.

Bad Bunny’s massive 57-city world tour, called Debí Tirar Más Fotos, begins November 21st at the Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

The concert tour for the actor known for Happy Gilmore 2’s latest album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, has already sold more than 2.6 million tickets.

Bad Bunny, a hugely popular artist with over 77 million monthly listeners on Spotify, has sold more than 115 million records globally since he became well-known in 2016 with his hit song, “Diles.”
