KEMCO has revealed its new story-rich JRPG, Akuma Rise, and pre-registration is now available on Android. Details about an iOS release or worldwide launch haven’t been announced yet.
Get ready to uncover Kaine’s forgotten past while enjoying turn-based combat
Okay, so I’m playing this JRPG called Akuma Rise, and it’s seriously cool. You’re Kaine, a demon who’s totally lost his memory, and you’re trying to piece things back together. I’m teaming up with three demon princesses and this adorable little mascot named Pink. But it’s not just a walk in the park – the whole world is falling apart, so we’re basically fighting to save it while uncovering Kaine’s past. It’s a pretty intense story!
The story begins with you waking up on a deserted island, having lost your memory. Meanwhile, a power vacuum has caused war between nations, and heroes from the Radiant Realm are trying to conquer the Shadow Realm. The game itself features traditional turn-based combat, but with a unique side-view command system that lets you control the action.
I think it’s going to be really enjoyable collecting and upgrading magical orbs to gain powerful skills and unlock new abilities. What I’m most excited about, though, is using each character’s special POW skills during battles. Right now, the game seems like a lot of fun, with plenty of ways to progress, lovable characters, and a classic JRPG feel.
Akuma Rise is available for pre-registration on Android through the Google Play Store. Unfortunately, iOS users will need to wait a bit longer, as pre-orders haven’t been opened on the App Store yet. Keep an eye out for updates on the official launch date.
