Kelsey Parker said third pregnancy made her realise ‘how precious life was’ following death of husband Tom – shortly before her son was tragically ‘born sleeping’
Kelsey Parker expressed that her third pregnancy helped her appreciate the value of life even more profoundly, after the passing of her husband Tom, and when her son was sadly stillborn a week before his due date.
34-year-old podcast host shared some heartrending news through an emotional Instagram post on Sunday, announcing that she and her partner, Will Lindsay, had given their newborn baby the name Phoenix.
Kelsey is also the mom of Aurelia, aged five, and Bodhi, aged four, who was the late singer of The Wanted, having passed away in March 2022 following a fight against brain cancer at 33 years old.
Earlier this year, she shared with OK! Magazine that she’s making an effort to appreciate her pregnancy more, as she recognizes the value of life after experiencing what she has.
That sentiment might seem overused, but it rings true in this case. What I truly desire is to savor each moment of this experience alongside Will. When I discovered I was pregnant with Aurelia, I believed I had my life all planned out.
At 19, I found my ideal life with Tom by my side, and our lives were well-organized. However, unexpected events turned everything on its head, making me realize even more the value of life.

Kelsey expressed the sorrowful news about the passing of her third child, who was her first with partner Will, through a touching poem that she titled: ‘Phoenix Parker-Lindsay, your love endures eternally.’
The world fell into a hush when you appeared, cherished, yearned-for, but not breathing life. Our dear son, our radiant spirit, winged from birth, flew silently away.
‘We gave you the name Phoenix, symbolizing courage and brilliance. Your spirit embodies love, warmth, and light, even though we never heard your cries. You will reside forever in hearts that won’t question or wonder why. Although you didn’t take a breath or open your eyes, you mean the world to me. You’ll accompany us on our journey, always close by, in every sigh and every tear.’
After posting on her Instagram Stories, she expressed: “I’d like to express my gratitude in advance for the kind messages and sincere well-wishes you are all planning to send me.
However, considering how fresh and intense the news is, it’s crucial for us as a family to have some room and time to fully comprehend and deal with this heartbreaking and life-altering information.
Prior to saying: ‘I adore each of you and appreciate your comprehension and patience. With enduring affection, Kelsey, Will, and the Parkers.’
sympathizers and well-known acquaintances swarmed the comments section to express their sympathy towards Kelsey and Will, with Kate Ferdinand remarking: ‘Oh Kelsey, I’m deeply sorry. You’ve faced a lot as a family already, this seems unjust. My thoughts are with you all and I’m sending a tremendous amount of love’.
In response to Faye Winter saying, “I’m so sorry, sending all my love to you, Will and the family,” Giovanna Fletcher commented, “What a lovely name for such a wonderful soul. I’m deeply sorry for your loss, Kelsey. Love, G.

The unfortunate news emerged mere days following the moment Kelsey proudly displayed her growing belly alongside her older kids, attending a showing of Disney Pixar’s Elio in London.
Earlier this month, the television figure expressed gratitude towards her partner, Will, whom she had also praised before. Previously, she had disclosed that her third pregnancy turned out to be an unexpected yet joyful surprise.
On Instagram, she expressed heartfelt appreciation towards her partner, acknowledging how he has been instrumental in caring for their young kids. She thanked him for his assistance.
A heartfelt shout-out from me. Though you may prefer to keep a low profile on my social platforms, this special instance compels me to break the norm. It simply needs to be celebrated!
In about a month, we’ll be welcoming our new family member, a baby! I am overflowing with gratitude. Your constant efforts are truly appreciated – not just for me but also for the children.
‘We love and adore you more than words can say I can’t wait to start this next chapter with you.
Truthfully, I believe that you’ll discover the newborn phase surprisingly manageable, given your experience with children of ages 5 and 4!
Or more casually:
You know what? I think you’ve got this newborn thing handled thanks to your experience with a 5 and 4-year-old!
After her husband Tom tragically passed away from brain cancer, leaving Kelsey heartbroken, she discovered newfound love last year. She encountered Will, a tree surgeon from Kent, during a night out, and they made their relationship official in September.
As an over-the-moon admirer, I must say that it’s heartbreaking to see Kelsey facing a wave of negativity online. Yet, in the midst of this storm, her remarkable partner has stepped up as a beacon of support. With an unwavering resolve, they’ve encouraged her to shut out the naysayers and focus on what truly matters – love and positivity.
During an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine, she shared that it was their first joint interview, which took place in March. She clarified that it had been three years since Tom passed away, marking his three-year anniversary, and expressed that sometimes people seem to expect her to feel guilty for moving forward with her life.
During the conversation, Kelsey inquired from Will: ‘Are you bothered by the fact that I get distressed over internet trolls and comments about our relationship?’
Will responded: “No, not exactly. I merely advised against looking at them, right? It’s likely that there will be kind messages, but it’s best to ignore the negative ones.

She stated, “I will forever carry guilt, but the challenge lies in moving forward since Tom is no longer with us. What should I do now, is what others seem to be asking.
Ever since our home was brimming with sorrow, I’ve felt like a changed person. But today, it’s overflowing with joy, and it’s an understatement to say that the children deserve this more than anything.
They have experienced a lot, making me believe that we are progressing towards recovery. Yet, I wish more women could find comfort in moving forward, understanding it doesn’t diminish the love I held for Tom.
Kelsey additionally shared insights into the influence that encountering Will has had on her personally, and expressed that internet critics fail to grasp her emotions since they haven’t experienced what she has gone through.
She mentioned that her recent companion now resides with her in the house she previously shared with Tom and the children. She noted that he gradually established himself there when the moment seemed appropriate.
Kelsey also revealed she has been bombarded with online abuse after confirming her pregnancy.
As a passionate enthusiast, I’d like to rephrase: “I shared with The Sun: ‘People may believe I should be holed up at home in mourning. But I’ve got three little ones to wake up for! The world is taken aback when they see me at Tesco, but truth be told, I’m just doing what any caring parent does – feeding my kids.’
