Kelsey Parker shared that she experienced intense self-doubt during a recent evening social event, and was eager to depart, around two months following the loss of her third child.
In June, Kelsey endured another sorrowful moment when her baby, her first child with partner Will Lindsay, was stillborn, following the loss of her husband Tom Parker to glioblastoma in March at the age of 33.
Actress Kelsey, mom to Aurelia (age 5) and Bodhi (age 4), recently posted on Instagram about the truth behind her smiles at a joyful social gathering.
She conveyed that even though she was enjoying her meal and watching her friend James Argent perform, there was a part of her yearning to depart.
Kelsey penned: ‘Instagram vs Reality. I had a fantastic night out with my good friend Arg.
At Sheesh, we enjoyed a delightful dinner, however, the sight of numerous stunningly attractive young women left me feeling uneasy and self-conscious – sensations that were unfamiliar to me.
Despite our delight in dinner and watching Arg perform, a strong desire to depart was lurking within me (the one who usually stays until the very end).
In essence, I’m trying to convey that a happy or cheerful appearance on social media doesn’t necessarily reflect someone’s true feelings. Hidden beneath the smiles and laughter could be deep emotional turmoil, and sometimes it takes immense effort just for them to keep going.
In June, Kelsey shared on Instagram the devastating news that her third child had unfortunately passed away a week prior to their anticipated delivery date.
In a poetic manner, she shared the news: “As you entered, the world fell still,
So dearly missed, yet life refused to instill.
Our cherished son, our beacon bright,
Born to soar, embarked on his heavenly flight.
We gave you the name Phoenix, symbolizing bravery and radiance. Your spirit embodies love, warmth, and illumination. Even though we’ve never heard your cries, you’ll dwell within hearts who will not question or seek reasons.
Even though you take no breath or offer no sight, you continue to hold immense significance for me. Your presence will accompany us subtly, close by in every deep sigh and tear.
Sharing on her Instagram stories, she expressed: “Before I’m inundated with kind messages and sincere well-wishes, I simply want to express my gratitude for the thoughts and support you’re all about to express and share.
However, given how unsettling the recent news is, I strongly feel it’s important for our family to have some privacy and time to fully absorb and deal with this heartbreaking and shocking information.
With heartfelt affection for everyone, we’re grateful for your patience and consideration. Sending endless love, Kelsey, Will, and the Parkers.
Kelsey was deeply saddened when her husband Tom, who had been fighting brain cancer, sadly passed away. However, she managed to find love once more, encountering Will – a tree surgeon from Kent – during a night out last year. Their relationship became public knowledge in September.
The podcaster later admitted to being targeted by online trolls for moving on with her new partner.
During an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine, she shared during their initial joint interview in March that it has been three years since the passing of Tom. She expressed a sentiment as if people expect her to feel guilty because she is moving forward with her life.
She said, “I’ll forever feel guilty, but it’s the difficulty of dealing with the fact that Tom isn’t around any longer that confuses me. What exactly are people expecting me to do in this situation?
Originally, our home was brimming with sorrow, yet now it resonates with joy – a change the children truly merit above all else.
After enduring so much, it seems our journey towards healing is progressing. Yet, I yearn for more women to realize they can begin anew without any guilt. Moving forward does not diminish the love I held for Tom.
