Kelsey Parker posted a heartfelt tribute for her late son, Phoenix, along with a picture displaying the tattoo she has in his honor.
As a fervent admirer, I can’t help but share my heartache over the poignant announcement made by the 34-year-old podcaster. Last month, she and her beloved partner, Will Lindsay, suffered an unimaginable loss when their first child together, baby Phoenix, was born silent.
On Thursday, Kelsey, the spouse of The Wanted band member Tom Parker, posted on Instagram, reminiscing about Phoenix.
In March 2023, she posted again a video showing the process of getting tattoos of her kids’ names, Aurelia and Bodhi, on her arms, along with a phoenix design on her ribs.
After the tragic loss of her son, Kelsey’s phoenix tattoo now symbolizes something more profound for her. In her recent post, she aptly described it as follows: ‘My constant companion, the Phoenix, by my side every day.’
Originally, Kelsey had the tattoo inscribed as a tribute to her deceased spouse, Tom, since she frequently shared an inspirational quote about a Phoenix with him, symbolizing his ability to overcome adversity.

Apart from that, Kelsey likewise paid a supplementary homage to Phoenix by publishing a picture displaying a sunset in orange hues and the message: ‘My thoughts are with you, you’re in sight, I yearn for you.’
Kelsey has two kids – Aurelia, aged six, and Bodhi, four years old – with her deceased spouse Tom, who lost his life to a brain tumor in March 2023.
After a two-year gap following the demise of her partner Tom, she rediscovered love with arborist Will Lindsay. Shortly afterward, she became pregnant, but unfortunately, their baby boy, Phoenix, was born still at 39 weeks in June.
Kelsey recently shared with the Daily Mail her approach on discussing Phoenix’s sad demise with her elder kids.
She expressed that she feels quite experienced in dealing with grief, letting her emotions guide her naturally. She also mentioned that her children seem to guide the conversation about death as well.
As a deeply invested parent, my little one can’t stop talking about it, while Bodhi tends to keep things inside. So, when the opportunity arises for a chat, I step up and guide the conversation. Rest assured, I’m always transparent and candid in our discussions.
I don’t say someone has fallen asleep when I mean they’re deceased and won’t return. Instead, I strive to do my best.
She expressively expressed that her children have become exceptionally mindful of mortality following the loss of their father, and emphasized the significance of them understanding that she is here to stay.

In my role as a lifestyle guide, I chose to return my kids to school a week following the passing of our beloved pet Phoenix. I believed it was best for them to maintain some sense of normalcy amidst the unfolding circumstances.
Upon returning from their break, they immediately headed back to school. I believe that maintaining a consistent routine during trying times can greatly benefit children, as the grown-ups grapple with their grief and there’s an overwhelming amount of words and discussions.
I believe that for them, returning to normalcy, especially school, brings great benefits. Also, establishing a daily routine seems beneficial, although it might not necessarily be the structure of school itself, but rather a consistent pattern in their lives.
They required my presence to assure themselves; I took on the school pick-up duty so they could confirm I was alright and not planning to leave.
‘So I think that’s really important, especially after since they obviously lost Tom as well.’
She noted: ‘Because they’ve faced death and loss, I believe it might be her classmates who haven’t experienced such hardships that are engaging in discussions about death. This experience could ultimately make my children resilient adults.’
In the year 2022, sadly, Kelsey’s husband Tom passed away due to brain cancer at the young age of 33. This unfortunate event occurred four years after they had gotten married.
