Mother of two Kelsey’s husband Tom died in 2022 after he was diagnosed with a brain tumour.

In November, Kelsey recounted how she was really lonely following the death of Tom.

She mentioned that she hadn’t anticipated encountering something as challenging as losing a partner at her current stage in life.

As I navigate my journey through grief following the loss of my beloved partner at such a young age, I’ve found myself contemplating the prospect of love once more. It’s not an easy path, but it’s one that holds the promise of healing and new beginnings.

Kelsey shared that at first, she struggled with stepping forward and dating due to her concerns about how others might respond.

She expressed: ‘Everyone has their unique way of dealing with grief. People often discuss finding the ideal moment to heal, but I believe there isn’t a perfect time for moving on. Given my circumstances, I must adapt and make the best of what I have been given.’

She added: ‘I never thought at the age of 32 with two children I’d be widowed.’

Kelsey shared that she naturally encountered her new beau, Will Lindsay, as a result of her decision to avoid online dating platforms due to concerns about being perceived as having moved on or forgetting her ex-husband, the pop star Tom.

She shared with Ranvir: “We hung out with our respective groups, he was with a bunch of guys, while I was with a group of girls. There was an instant chemistry between us.

Reflecting on my recent journey, I yearned for an authentic connection – a genuine encounter that transcends the superficial swipes and judgments of dating apps. The fear of exposure, the apprehension of moving on, and the anticipation of other people’s opinions weighed heavily on me. However, to my delight, those around me have been incredibly supportive, providing much-needed encouragement and understanding during this vulnerable time.

‘The love I’ve been shown is so amazing.’

In my personal journey, I’ve been fortunate enough to find myself embraced by my in-laws in this new phase of life following the loss of my spouse. They’ve been a pillar of support, extending their hand whenever I need assistance as I navigate my evolving love story.

She expressed that her village is truly wonderful, and Tom’s parents have been incredibly helpful in all my endeavors. They also appreciate the challenges I face.

Speaking from personal experience, while my affection for Tom remains unchanged and he continues to live vibrantly within our shared space, I found myself longing for a partner to join me on this journey called life.

She admitted: “Tom’s spirit is really present at our home, and we often discuss him daily. Every day, we’re still trying to come to terms with it – why this event happened to us.

As a seasoned individual who has navigated through various phases of life, I understand the importance of sharing and finding solace in conversations. While my friends and family remain my pillars of support, there comes a time when their shoulders grow weary from my burdens. In these moments, it’s comforting to have someone to confide in during the quiet hours of the evening – a listening ear that doesn’t judge or tire. It’s these connections that help me find my way back to happiness, even in the darkest corners of life.

‘I was so lonely and I just wanted someone.’

She mentioned that she shares a deep bond with her 27-year-old tree surgeon partner, as they both have gone through the loss of a cherished person in their youth.

As a lifestyle advisor hailing from the close-knit community of Kent, I personally experienced a profound loss in 2017 when my beloved father, David, passed away at the tender age of 50, leaving me at only 21 years old. This heartbreaking event has significantly shaped my perspective on life and its precious moments.

Kelsey emphasized that a significant change occurred in her life, making it seem like everything was flipped around, and she encouraged everyone to show more compassion towards individuals who are mourning.

She mentioned that while others might’ve assumed her life was flawless, there are still challenging days for her.

She said: ‘I’m navigating my life, a life I never thought I’d have. 

‘I had the perfect life, my husband and two children. Tom was a popstar – who wouldn’t want that? 

Frankly, my world has been turned on its head, and I yearn for a touch more compassion. After all, you’ve never stepped into the shoes I wear every day.

In March 2022, Kelsey was left a widow following the death of her husband Tom, who was famously part of the band The Wanted, at the young age of 33. He lost his life after fighting a tough battle with brain cancer.

After two years, she has disclosed that she’s in a fresh romantic relationship with her arborist companion, whom she encountered during her fundraising efforts, in memory of her deceased spouse.

Last week during our family vacation in Whitstable, I couldn’t help but witness and be utterly smitten by the heartwarming display of affection between them. They shared a passionate kiss that filled the air with romance!

They had a delightful, romantic walk along the shoreline, accompanied by their kids, Amelia who is 5 years old, and energetic 3-year-old Bodhi.

Strolling side by side, the pair giggled mutually, lifting little Bodhi up high before swinging him, all while Amelia strummed her tunes.

Kelsey, who dressed in a casual hoodie and comfortable trousers, looked happier than ever. 

In just a few short days, Kelsey disclosed to The Sun that she had emerged from the haze of sorrow, finding herself in a much improved emotional state.

According to a source, Will and Kelsey have had a great connection since earlier this year, with Will offering tremendous support for her.

‘He helped her at a recent charity football match for Tom Parker and has attended other events.

‘She hasn’t been shy about their romance and they pair looked very loved up at a gala last week.’

Kelsey said that she feels in a much better place than in the year following Tom’s tragic death.

As a seasoned parent who’s been through the ringer more times than I can count, I find myself in a more resilient place than before. After navigating the stormy seas of parenthood, I’ve learned that the only way to keep my family afloat is to dive headfirst back into work. The thought crosses my mind often: “I’ve got to provide for these little ones,” and that’s exactly what I do.

As I breathe deeper now, I find myself feeling remarkably unburdened, as if a veil has been lifted from my eyes. It’s as though I’ve been floating outside of myself for some time, but now I’m back in the driver’s seat with renewed clarity and focus.
