Kelsey Grammer is adjusting to life with a new baby, his eighth child and fourth with his wife, Kayte Walsh, after their son was born in late October.
Everyone was talking about Kelsey Grammer and his new baby boy, Christopher, when he attended the Giving a Smile Foundation Gala in Beverly Hills on Thursday night.
Grammer, 70, spoke to TMZ about ‘what a blessing’ the experience has been for him.
The ‘Frasier’ actor said having a young child is a joy and a gift.
Looking at my four children and wonderful wife tonight, I realized there’s nothing more fulfilling than this moment.
The actor shared that becoming a father to his daughter, Spencer, in 1983 – during his marriage to Doreen Alderman – was a very different experience than it is today.

Grammer would have been around 28 years old at the time.
I think a lot of young men can relate to this: you’re really focused on building a life for yourself – establishing your career, providing for your family, and becoming the person you envision. It’s a fulfilling time, but honestly, it can take up all your time and energy!
One thing’s for sure – Grammer’s embracing all those precious moments with his infant son now.
Speaking to E! News, Grammer described his ‘amazing’ life as a late-in-life dad.
Oh my gosh, he said it’s amazing! Seriously, he’s so down-to-earth about it all. He says their son is just an easy baby, but he raved about his wife, Kayte – she’s a natural! He admitted they were still figuring things out with their first couple of kids, but they got the hang of it quickly. It’s just so sweet to hear him talk about his family like that, I’m melting!
Grammer shared that the baby is now sleeping soundly through the night. He described the little boy as a joy, noting he’s a delightful child who even smiled and chatted with him earlier that morning.
‘It’s great to have this new life in our life,’ he added.
Kramer and his wife, Kayte, 46, share three children: Faith, 13, Gabriel, 11, and James, 8. They first met in 2009 on a flight from London to Los Angeles, where Kayte was a flight attendant.
The actor has four children: Greer, 33, with Barrie Buckner; and Mason, 24, and Jude, 21, with his former wife, Camille Grammer.

He said he feels like he’s been given another chance to get fatherhood right.
Even with grown children, Kelsey Grammer still thinks about how he could have been a better father. He often wonders if he could have done things differently and wishes he and his kids were even closer. Despite these reflections, he feels grateful for his life, his families, and the opportunities he’s had with his children.
Grammer has publicly discussed his battles with alcohol and substance abuse, which stemmed from a series of family tragedies. These included the murder of his father in 1968, the rape and murder of his sister Karen in 1975, and the deaths of his brothers, who were believed to have been killed in a shark attack in 1980.
He admitted he hadn’t always been the most present father and shared with People magazine in May that he’s been working to reconnect with his older children.
He told E! News that being a father means taking on some responsibility and putting thought and effort into raising your child.
I wasn’t quite as emotionally strong at the beginning, because I was still discovering who I was, dealing with past traumas and anxieties, and processing difficult experiences when my children were born.
