Kelsey Grammer recently announced the birth of his eighth child, a son named Christopher, with his wife Kayte Walsh.
The star and producer of Frasier, age 70, shared the news about his new baby during an appearance on the podcast Pod Meets World on Monday.
‘Just had our fourth one, so it just became eight kids!’ Kelsey gushed.
‘It was like three days ago. Christopher that’s just joined the family.’
Four months ago, DailyMail.com was the first to report that the couple was expecting a baby, sharing photos of the visibly pregnant 46-year-old in London. A source said the pregnancy brought them closer together.
A source told DailyMail.com that Kelsey is excited to spend quality time with his child again now that he has more free time.
He’s been a wonderful support to Kayte during her pregnancy. While they hadn’t planned it, this pregnancy has brought them closer together and revitalized their relationship, giving them both a much-needed boost.
This will be the couple’s fourth child. Adding Kelsey’s three children from previous relationships, their new baby will be surrounded by a lot of love.
Having played Frasier one final time, Kelsey Grammer is now looking ahead to new challenges and a different chapter in his life. He’s especially excited about being a more involved and present parent.
As a mom myself, I completely understand the joys (and chaos!) of family life. My husband and I are proud parents to three wonderful kids: our daughter, Faith, who’s twelve, and our sons, Kelsey, ten, and little Auden, who we call James, at eight. They definitely keep things interesting!
The Emmy-winning actor has five children: Spencer, 41, with his first ex-wife, Doreen Alderman; Greer, 33, with Barrie Buckner; and daughters Mason, 23, and son Jude, 20, with ex-wife Camille Meyer.
Grammer was 61 at the time Walsh gave birth to their third child together.
He shared with The Guardian in 2018 that becoming a father later in life felt like a second chance, which he considered a wonderful gift.
