As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for the intersection of art and personal relationships, I can confidently say that Kelsea Ballerini’s journey is a shining example of how love and creativity can fuel each other. Her fifth studio album, Patterns, is a testament to this powerful dynamic, as her boyfriend Chase Stokes has undeniably left his mark on the record.

Kelsea Ballerini praises her boyfriend Chase Stokes for being a significant source of inspiration as she worked on and recorded her latest studio album titled “Patterns.

In early 2023, the country pop singer began dating the actor from Outer Banks. She had leaped into his direct messages back in December of the previous year.

For nearly two years, this remarkable figure has become an integral part of my world, as I shared with PEOPLE during the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York City on Tuesday.

She clarified that she feels very proud of the artwork he’s inspired and even more so because he’s truthful in his artistic expression. It’s also wonderful for them to be on the same page creatively and to freely share aspects of their relationship like this, she added. This openness and willingness is truly beautiful, she concluded.

The fifth studio release by the artist-composer reportedly explores themes like love, fragility, and female camaraderie, featuring a total of fifteen fresh compositions.

Over the summer, Ballerini initiated her marketing campaign for Patterns, unveiling the tracks “Cowboys Cry Too,” a duet with Noah Kahan, and “Sorry Mom” as part of it.

Among the initial compositions created for the album, the artist from Mascot, Tennessee referred to “Sorry Mom” as an affectionate missive encapsulating the transformation of a mother and her daughter into women.

She aimed to express this viewpoint using a duet with Noah Kahan, adding a masculine angle to make the song’s theme even more profound.

She went on to share how the lyrics for Cowboys Cry Too celebrate the vulnerable side of men, particularly highlighting the idea that even ‘tough’ people like cowboys experience emotions and can cry.

Previously, the four-time Grammy Award nominee shared with the media outlet that her partner played a crucial role in soothing her pre-performance jitters before her first acting appearance on the latest ABC series, Doctor Odyssey.

She often referred to his profession as his realm, and whenever I posed questions about this prospect, I would say something like, “How does this fit into your domain?” He would respond, “Hey, it’s just a sphere. I exist within it, and now you do too. It’s not my sphere.” At the end of our discussion, I asked, “So you’ll perform the scene with me then?” To which he replied, “Absolutely, let’s give it a go.

Initially, Stokes made his debut appearing in several minor parts in hit series such as Stranger Things (2016), Daytime Divas (2017), and Tell Me Your Secrets (2021).

His major success stemmed from starring as the lead character, John B Routledge, in the action-packed teenage drama series “Outer Banks,” which began streaming on Netflix in 2020 and continues to air.

I had the privilege of taking on the lead role in the science fiction drama film “Uglies” (2024), which was released on Netflix around mid-September.

Born in Annapolis, Maryland, this individual began a romantic relationship with Ballerini in January 2023. However, they decided to keep their relationship private for three months before making it public.

In the summer of 2022, the renowned country artist parted ways with her first husband, Australian country musician Morgan Evans. A few months afterward, she encountered Stokes. The legal end to their marriage occurred in November of the same year.

As a budding musician at 13, I began penning my own melodies, and by the time I turned 14, I picked up the guitar as well. At 15, with dreams of a career in music burning brightly within me, I packed my bags and ventured to Nashville.

From an early age, Kelsea Ballerini displayed a knack for composing songs, eventually securing a record contract with Black River Entertainment at the tender age of 20 in 2014.

The next year saw the unveiling of her debut studio album, “The First Time” (2015), following which the initial three singles – “Love Me Like You Mean It”, “Dibs”, and “Peter Pan” – climbed to the top of the Billboard Country Airplay chart.

To start off, her initial album made a strong entrance by landing at the 31st spot on the Billboard 200 and securing the fourth position on the Top Country Albums chart.

In my expertise as a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that my sophomore album, Unapologetically (2017), made some serious waves in the music industry. Not just one, but three of its singles – Legends, I Hate Love Songs, and Miss Me More – all climbed their way into the top 40 charts. But here’s the real magic: Legends went on to become my fourth number one hit on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. That’s a testament to the power of authenticity and the resonance of my music with listeners, and it’s an achievement I’m incredibly proud of.

From Mascot, Tennessee, this individual experienced success with her albums “Kelsea” (released in 2020) and “Subject To Change” (released in 2022). Many of the singles she released prior to the album drops were instrumental in their promotion as well.

Ballerini’s new studio album Patterns will be released on October 25.
