On Wednesday’s episode of ‘I’m A Celebrity,’ Kelly Brook shared a shower with her fellow contestants, Shona McGarty and Alex Scott, marking her first shower scene in the jungle.
The 45-year-old former model used to take her job as a promotional model very seriously, even going so far as to test her bikinis to make sure they looked good on camera.
Kelly didn’t want to let anyone down, so she changed into a revealing swimsuit with a palm leaf pattern and styled her hair in a high bun.
I remember going down to the creek with everyone at camp, and it was so much fun! She was playfully goofing around with Alex, pretending to be this ‘Jungle Woman’ character, and they ended up splashing Shona right into the water. It was a classic camp moment!
Their enjoyable time was cut short when they noticed leeches in the creek, causing them to quickly get out.
Kelly described a terrifying experience to the Bush Telegraph, saying they narrowly avoided being swarmed by leeches. She exclaimed that they barely managed to escape the pool in time, fearing they would be covered and ‘eaten alive’.
I’m so excited for her jungle adventure! She told the Mail on Sunday that she’s packed a ton of bikinis – all different styles, actually. She hasn’t even decided which ones she’ll wear yet, which is so her! She likes to have options.
‘They’ve all gone off to wardrobe to get tested on camera, so they’ll decide for me.’
She began her career in the nineties as a glamour model, appearing on the covers of men’s magazines. Later, she became a successful television presenter.
She first became well-known as a model featured in the tabloids’ ‘Page Three,’ but she reminded viewers on ITV that she’s no longer in her twenties and doesn’t model bikinis anymore.
Honestly, it’s just… things change, you know? I’m changing, she’s changing, and all I want is for everyone to just see her now and love her for who she is today. It kills me when people keep bringing up how she looked before. I just want her to be accepted for the amazing person she is right now, not some version of her from the past.
Kelly mentioned she’s hoping to create a similar buzz to Myleene Klass, who famously wore a white bikini on ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’ in 2006 and got everyone talking.
I’ll never forget that moment on ‘I’m a Celebrity’ – it’s become legendary! Everyone says it really helped Myleene get to second place, and since then, so many contestants have tried to do the same thing, hoping for the same result.
The radio host shared that Myleene Klass had mentioned the jungle shower to her before going on the show.
Kelly explained that her friend had to rush out and buy a swimsuit when she first arrived. Because of that, Kelly made sure to pack lots of swimsuits so they’d have plenty to choose from.
That famous scene with her in a white bikini – the one in the shower where she looked amazing – wasn’t something they planned beforehand.
It would be nearly impossible to replicate that moment – it felt like destiny, and it was perfectly timed for her.
She previously appeared in the 2005 erotic thriller Survival Island with her then-boyfriend, Billy Zane. They met while filming the movie and dated from 2004 to 2008.
In the movie, Kelly wore a revealing white bikini, confidently showing off her fit physique, similar to the iconic jungle shower scene.
Kelly later confessed she felt the movie was a bit too explicit, and she asked the filmmakers to cut out all of her nude scenes before it came out.
Although Kelly asked for it, and Zane—whom she fell in love with while filming—supported her, the request wasn’t granted when the movie came out in 2005.
Kelly Brook, once named ‘sexiest woman in the world’ by FHM magazine and known for her figure, is now focusing on showcasing her intelligence alongside her looks.
She’s strategically using her time on the show to showcase different facets of her personality, gain widespread attention, and also kickstart a new business venture.
Despite once saying she’d never appear on the show, Kelly is now planning to use her newfound popularity from being in the jungle to start a line of Italian food with her husband, Jeremy Parisi.
She recently submitted an application to the UK’s Intellectual Property Office to trademark the name “Parisi Arpino,” as reported on the GOV.UK website.
The documents show the company intends to sell pizzas, pasta, pasta sauce, as well as olive oils, meats, and cheeses.
Legal teams are currently examining the application. If it’s approved, the trademark will be protected for a decade.
