In a more recent episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, Kelly Ripa defended herself against those who felt ‘upset’ after she brought up a private matter during the show.
On the morning talk show, the TV personality (aged 54) and her co-host husband Mark Consuelos discussed the topic of bras during their episode airing on Wednesday.
Shortly after the reason for the couple’s consecutive absences during filming sessions became known.
At a certain moment, she exclaimed to the live crowd, ‘Here’s an interesting fact: Bras are older than most people realize! When I say ‘bras,’ I don’t refer only to my personal item, but rather the concept in general.’
After a pause, Mark inquired about the typical age of Kelly’s bras, to which Kelly jokingly responded, “They’re ancient! In fact, they seem indestructible since they don’t experience much wear and tear.
She jokingly added, “I’m not imposing much on them, if you catch my drift. In other words, I use a bra to keep my microphone in place.
‘That is why I wear a bra, not to hold anything else, because there’s nothing else there.’
Kelly then added to the laughing crowd, ‘And I don’t care if you’re offended. Shut it.’
The star went on to clarify, ‘I wear a bra mainly for attaching the microphone, not to ask many questions.’
Mark sustained the discussion by sharing with the talk show host, “I was fond of those with the small fasteners at the front.
Kelly chuckled to herself and playfully tapped her husband’s arm before replying with a casual ‘Yup’ as she turned toward him.
She likewise openly acknowledged to the audience that Mark was exceptionally skilled at managing various bra styles.
In simpler terms, Kelly exclaimed, “I was truly amazed! It’s as if I’m saying he really understands lingerie. Nowadays, the bras I wear feel more like t-shirts.
The conversation started to wrap up as she shared some intriguing facts about bras, explaining that these personal items generate approximately $90 billion in sales each year.
Kelly remarked, “I frequently find myself purchasing bras, but I seldom wear them. Instead, I buy them with the hope that one of these purchases might significantly transform my life. Unfortunately, they often end up stored in their original packaging.
The celebrity has earlier discussed considering breast enhancement surgeries, yet opted against having it done.
In a conversation on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast earlier this July, she casually mentioned, “I don’t have much bust.
Kelly went on to say, ‘It’s no secret that I have small breasts. Over the years, I’ve visited countless breast augmentation consultations more times than I care to remember. Whenever I hear about a new specialist for enhancements, I make an appointment to discuss it further.’
Instead, she shared that she’s come across numerous distressing tales about breast augmentation on her social media feeds on her phone.
In February of this year, Kelly disclosed her intent to undergo a ‘mini facelift’ sometime in the future.

Yet, the duo took turns being absent from the morning talk show lately, and the straightforward explanation for their absence has been disclosed.
During the summer season, Kelly decided to set off on a journey, with her spouse left behind, welcoming temporary co-hosts like Jenna Dewan to join her instead.
However, it turns out that Mark has been absent from some recent episodes because he’s busy working on another TV show based in Los Angeles, as Kelly clarified.
In 1996, the pair got married and have since become proud parents to Michael (age 28), Lola (age 24), and Joaquin (age 22).
‘It just seems that way because when you see us, we’re on TV together. But we’re not really that.’
She mentioned, ‘In the mornings, we collaborate, but afterwards, our routines and personal lives diverge significantly. Our passions beyond our morning talk show tend to be distinctly different from one another.’
The star elaborated that we often gather during the night. They shared a pleasant dinner or meal with each other.
