Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Embrace a Wild NSFW Lifestyle After Kids Move Out!

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos‘ house now functions as a place where clothes are optional, following the departure of their children.

Instead of living a normal family life, the departure of their youngest child has transformed the lives of three parents into something resembling a circus spectacle, as they extend words of comfort to actress Amanda Peet, whose eldest child is also leaving home for college.

As Amanda, age 53, felt tears welling up at the prospect of her child moving on, Kelly and Mark, both 54, comforted her by saying there’s a promising, albeit not safe for work, beacon ahead.

On Monday’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, Kelly described the first one as quite unexpected. The second one seemed ordinary to her. The third one, for 24 to 48 hours, made her feel like, “Oh my gosh, what have we done? Now it’s just us.” After that, everyday life in their household became all about being comfortable with nudity wherever they wished.

‘It’s a freak show,’ Mark said. ‘Total freak show’, Kelly concurred.

Together with Kelly, Mark has three children, the youngest of whom is Joaquin Consuelos (age 22). This year, he successfully completed his studies at the University of Michigan.

Apart from them, the pair are blessed with a 27-year-old son named Michael Consuelos, who completed his studies at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2020. Their daughter Lola Consuelos, aged 23, is another NYU alumna as well.

Kelly and Mark previously revealed how difficult the adjustment was. 

In the year 2021, during an episode of her talk show, Kelly expressed that we had transitioned into being ’empty nesters’. She further explained that our youngest son had left for college and we were the ones who took him there and saw him off. She emphasized that it was a difficult, challenging time for us.

In a joint 2023 interview with People, Mark compared the feeling to ‘a loss.’  

‘It was deep,’ he said. ‘It was like a loss.’ 

When Joaquin departed for the University of Michigan, I found myself standing there with him, along with our beloved dogs, all of us looking at one another, as if to ask, “Now, where do we go from here?” was the sentiment that hung in the air.

For her very first cooking attempt, she prepared a meal for twelve individuals – quite an unusual number for just the two of us. Yet, we were left with an oversized portion, neither of us feeling any hunger pangs as we sat there.

Kelly initially worried they wouldn’t have enough to talk about. 

‘We’re empty nesters, oh no, what are we going to discuss?!’ Kelly said of her initial thoughts.

Initially, we were overwhelmed by sadness, but within a short while, our focus shifted towards positivity. As she put it, “We moved from the depths of despair to embracing the bright side.” In essence, she expressed that they had coped and moved past their hardship.

For those who follow the pair closely, it’s no secret that they are open about sharing details of their intimate moments and unconventional locations where these moments have taken place.

In September 2022, during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Kelly admitted that she and Mark had a private moment together at Andy Cohen’s vacation house in Fire Island.

‘That was a day trip!’ Andy said in shock at the revelation. ‘It was a rental!’ Kelly insisted. 

‘I figured I wasn’t desecrating anything that you own,’ she added, leaving viewers jaw-dropped.

Beyond disclosing her shared living space with Cohen, Kelly further confessed that she and her partner had intimate moments not just at their residence, but also aboard a boat, in public restrooms, and even on the set of All My Children.

In the year 2020, the TV personality expressed to Cohen that their robust sex life was due to finding one another at opportune moments in our respective lives.

She added that both her and Mark believe that ‘experimentation is fun.’
