Kelly Reilly’s Yellowstone spinoff show has confirmed another returning character.
Previously, there was an announcement about Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler starring in a separate show on Paramount+, where Reilly and Cole Hauser will be playing their characters.
As a passionate Yellowstone fan, I’m eagerly anticipating the upcoming spinoff series set within the same universe. Unlike some time-traveling or alternate reality stories, this one seems to be sticking with the present day, continuing the narrative right where the original left off.
Affirming a new piece of news, Deadline has announced that Finn Little will once again take on his character from the initial series in the yet-unnamed spinoff created by Taylor Sheridan, which is now underway.
It has been announced that the actor will reprise his role as Carter from the hit series “Yellowstone” for its fifth and final season, following his introduction to the main cast in the fourth season.
In the setting of Yellowstone, Carter, a distressed adolescent, encountered Beth when she visited her ailing father at the hospital.

After overcoming a struggle with substance abuse, Carter’s father passed away at the hospital. As a result, he found himself living under the care of Beth and Rip, whom he had grown fond of and who eventually took on the role as his guardians.
Or, more colloquially:
Carter’s dad lost his life after battling drug addiction, leading to him moving in with Beth and Rip – a couple he had developed a connection with – who later became his legal guardians.
The popular series currently has two upcoming sequel adaptations, namely “1923” featuring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, and “1883” starring Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. It’s rumored that additional prequels may be in development as well.
After the completion of its fifth and last season (which was broadcasted last year), Reilly has shown a desire to develop Beth’s narrative further, going beyond the boundaries of the show Yellowstone.

In the same interview with Town and Country, she expressed her affection for this particular season. She discovered new landscapes that intrigued her, which allows her to move on effortlessly. She’s content to store away this specific character in a secure storage compartment.
I’m quite intrigued about Beth and what she might become following certain events. What is her true self when everything is calm?
“As an actor you’re like, ‘Ooh, let me at that’. Wouldn’t it be fun to watch Beth go to therapy?”
