Kelly Osbourne pens emotional poem about enduring ‘cruel and relentless’ grief after her father Ozzy’s death – as her mum Sharon ‘downsizes’ from £13m home she shared with late singer

Kelly Osbourne wrote a heartfelt poem expressing her deep sadness following the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne. Meanwhile, her mother, Sharon, is reportedly looking to downsize from the $13 million Los Angeles home she shared with him.

Last July, the media personality’s father, Ozzy, sadly passed away at his home in Buckinghamshire from heart failure. He was 76 years old.

Kelly, 41, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram Sunday, expressing her frustration with grief. She wrote that it unexpectedly intrudes on everyday life, spoiling simple things like hearing a song, catching a familiar scent, or just being in a peaceful space.

I’m suddenly breathless. You twist our memories into something painful. Everything around me continues as normal, but my world has stopped.

It hurts me that you constantly bring up the fact that he’s no longer here. You keep reminding me he won’t return, won’t reach out, and I’ll never hear his laughter or singing again. It feels like you’re determined to make sure I never stop grieving.

At night, the weight of you feels heavy on my heart. You fill my mind with doubts and worries, and I keep replaying our last moments, each time feeling the pain all over again. It’s a cycle that endlessly breaks me down.

It hurts knowing you came into being because of my love for him. It feels like loving him means I have to carry this pain, and it’s exhausting. Grief is a crushing weight, it’s unforgiving, and it just won’t let up. I’m simply worn out by the constant ache. – Me

As many of you know, my heart goes out to the Osbourne family right now. It’s a really tough time for them, and I’m hearing that Sharon is making some changes. She’s reportedly planning to downsize from their enormous $16.5 million Los Angeles home, which they used whenever they were spending time stateside. It makes sense – a big space can be hard to manage when you’re dealing with personal loss, and sometimes a fresh start with a smaller, more manageable home is just what someone needs.

Her main residence is in the UK where she lives in the Buckinghamshire mansion.

She’s now said to be looking for a smaller home in the US, possibly just an apartment, so she can continue to visit her grandchildren who live there.

Sharon’s three children, Aimee, Jack, and Kelly, all live in LA with her five grandchildren.

According to a source, Sharon is planning to downsize from her large Los Angeles home and purchase a smaller apartment in the area. This will allow her to be closer to her grandchildren when she visits.

She’s dividing her time between California and the UK, traveling frequently between the two. While she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, she considers England her true home.

The publication also shared pictures of removal men carrying boxes from the residence.

A representative for Sharon has been contacted by The Daily Mai for comment.

This follows Sharon’s first Valentine’s Day since separating from Ozzy, and she shared a sad message about it.

Seven months after the death of her husband, the Black Sabbath singer, the businesswoman fondly remembered him as her one true love. They had been married since 1982.

Sharon shared a touching photo on Instagram of her and her partner holding hands, with the caption ‘Forever Valentine’ and an infinity symbol emoji.

Earlier this month, Sharon attended an afterparty for the 2026 Grammy Awards hosted by Universal Music Group, where she was joined by her children, Jack and Kelly. She had become emotional during the ceremony itself, while watching a tribute to Ozzy.

The family showed up at the afterparty following the moving tribute to the rock legend at the Grammys, which had clearly touched them deeply.

The tribute to him included a powerful performance of his famous Black Sabbath song ‘War Pigs’ by Post Malone, along with Slash, Duff McKagan, Chad Smith, and Andrew Watt.

Standing in the audience, the Osbourne family couldn’t hold back tears as the music swelled.

Kelly looked deeply upset, and Sharon was wiping away tears beside her. Jack, meanwhile, stared straight ahead, clearly struggling to stay calm.

It was clear the three of them were deeply saddened, their faces showing how much the tribute affected them. Interestingly, Kelly admitted she had prepared herself emotionally for this moment while on the red carpet.

She said it was a feeling she couldn’t put into words, while speaking on the live Grammy’s red carpet.

It’s incredibly moving to see everyone he knows and this community show him so much love and appreciation – he truly deserves it. It’s going to be a very emotional moment.

Before the event, Kelly shared that losing her father was the most difficult experience of her life. She also talked about the small, everyday things she does to remember him.

Lindsay was supported by her fiancé, Sid Wilson, and their three-year-old son, Sidney, at the event. She told PEOPLE that she’s been struggling since the difficult experience, admitting, ‘I’m not okay. It’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through.’

I’m so happy to have my partner, our beautiful baby, and my incredibly close family. We’ve always been tight, but we’ve grown even closer recently.

It’s common for people to put on a brave face and say they’re doing well even months after losing someone they care about, but the truth is, they’re often still struggling.

Kelly shared how she honors Ozzy’s memory by always lighting a candle and leaving an empty seat at her table. She also wears a special locket, calling him ‘one of the greatest men ever.’

She explained that she keeps a photo of him hidden under her dress. Her child opens it and kisses it daily, saying hello to their father. She also believes that whenever she sees 11:11 on the clock, it’s a sign he’s reaching out to her.
