Kelly Clarkson’s show is renewed for 7th season after taking fans on her 60lb weight loss journey

As a die-hard fan since her “American Idol” days, I can honestly say that Kelly Clarkson has been nothing short of a phenomenal journey for me! From her humble beginnings in Texas to becoming a multi-talented artist with over 25 million albums sold worldwide, she’s proven time and again that she’s more than just another pop star.

The Kelly Clarkson Show was renewed by NBC Owned Television Stations group on Monday.

It has held the top afternoon spot over the course of the show’s six seasons. 

The talk series has become popular for landing top guests like Selena Gomez, Hailey Bieber and Margot Robbie that click with the country singer.

Kelly has also won attention on the show for her changing appearance as she lost 60lbs last year.

Ever since it debuted in 2019, The Kelly Clarkson Show has amassed some of the most respected honors within the television industry. It has garnered 22 Daytime Emmys, including several for Outstanding Daytime Talk Series and Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host. Additionally, it has bagged two People’s Choice Awards for the best talk show of the year. Lastly, it has received recognition from the Alliance for Women in Media’s Gracie Awards, taking home the Talk Show Entertainment category three times.

At the Grace Awards, executive producer Alex Duda was honored as the top showrunner, while the show itself took home the award for exceptional unscripted writing in daytime. The show also received several Critic’s Choice nominations, as well as nods from the GLAAD Media Awards, MTV Movie + TV Awards (with Kelly Clarkson winning Best Host in 2022). Additionally, it garnered numerous nominations from the Hollywood Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist Guild Awards.

In the 2024-25 television season, ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ typically attracts around 1.2 million daily viewers, marking a significant rise from autumn 2023 and maintaining its position among the highest-rated syndicated talk programs.

‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ is achieving success among important demographics locally, as it boosts viewership for NBCU partner stations by more than doubling its lead-in audience of women aged 25 to 54 in cities like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Boston, and San Francisco. The show is aired nationwide on over 200 television stations.

The production of ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ takes place in Studio 6A, located within the Rockefeller Center in New York City. Alex Duda serves as both executive producer and showrunner for this program, with Kelly Clarkson holding an executive producer role as well.

Clarkson is a multi-talented artist with over 25 million albums and 40 million singles sold worldwide. Her award-winning daytime talk show, ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show,’ now in its sixth season, has earned her multiple Emmy Awards, including wins for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host and Outstanding Daytime Talk Series.
