Kelly Clarkson’s New Song May Hold the Key to Her Mysterious Absence

Kelly Clarkson has yet to really explain why she was absent from her talk show for so long.

Now, followers can anticipate something exciting – fresh tunes – along with perhaps some clarity regarding her recent absence.

On Friday, Kelly shared a sneak peek of her upcoming music on Instagram, revealing that the new track is titled “Where Have You Been?

However, the original American Idol, 42, has not yet revealed the release date for her new single.

In January, it was revealed that Kelly established her very own record company. For the first time in her professional journey, she plans to launch her upcoming music on her own.

Clarkson hasn’t publicly addressed her absence from her show. 

Kelly’s mysterious remark during her return to The Kelly Clarkson Show for its milestone 1,000th episode stirred a wave of worry among viewers.

After making her comeback, the singer opened up more honestly, and to mark this significant episode, she confessed that she often feels “misplaced and solitary.

While recording the session, the Grammy-winning artist reminisced about her path from when she first launched her show on NBC in September 2019 up until then.

During a touching speech, she didn’t explicitly discuss her recent absence, instead, she mentioned experiencing a series of highs and lows in the past.

She expressed, “Welcome to episode number 1,000 of The Kelly Clarkson Show! I still find it hard to believe we’ve reached this milestone – it seems unreal!

She added: ‘We’ve encountered numerous exceptionally gifted individuals, many famous celebrities, and countless ordinary people who are truly heroic.’

She enthusiastically discussed the fact that they’ve built a supportive network, where she, her team, and their fans have rallied together during numerous highs and lows.

Kelly is preparing for her Las Vegas residency, which will take place at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Starting from July 4, her performances will span over a period of 18 shows, with the final show scheduled on November 15, 2025.

On the 9th and 10th of May, Kelly is scheduled for a two-day concert at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

This past month, Kelly received warm compliments from Sheryl Crow following her rendition of Sheryl’s 1993 hit “All I Wanna Do” during her Kellyoke performance.

In a post on The Kelly Clarkson Show’s Instagram, a 63-year-old singer was tagged. She replied, expressing amazement at Kelly Clarkson’s vocal abilities, saying, “Goodness gracious, @kellyclarkson could sing the phone book! I prefer this rendition over my own!

Kelly has two kids with her former spouse Brandon Blackstock, but their relationship remains frosty.

Kelly and Brandon are parents to son Remington Alexander, eight, and daughter River Rose, 10.

2022 marked the end of their marriage legally, but they faced a challenging court case due to disputes arising from their past business partnership.

She and her ex-husband were married for nearly seven years before calling it quits in June 2020.

Last year, she filed a lawsuit against Blackstock, alleging that he had made business transactions without her authorization.

In May 2024, they resolved their disputes regarding commissions, bringing an end to a prolonged legal fight that started shortly after their divorce became official two years prior.
