Kelly Clarkson’s ex Brandon Blackstock seen WEEKS before death with daughter Savannah in heartbreaking photo

As a devoted fan of Kelly Clarkson, I can’t help but share a heartfelt moment. Brandon Blackstock, Kelly’s ex-husband, recently took a beautiful family photo with their daughter, capturing a cherished memory just weeks prior to his untimely passing due to cancer at the age of 48 this week. This poignant snapshot serves as a reminder of the precious moments we should cherish in life.

Blackstock, who is a talent manager and was once the stepson of renowned country artist Reba McEntire, was wedded to Kelly Clarkson, a star on American Idol, from 2013 until 2022. During their union, they raised two young children together.

On July 20th, eighteen days prior to the announcement of his passing, the ailing star shared a heartwarming moment with his eldest daughter Savannah, who was expecting at the age of 23, as depicted in a touching photograph.

Blackstock and his daughter donned identical black ensembles during their outdoor excursion, capturing one last photograph of them together – a poignant image taken before his passing.

Blackstock had been battling melanoma, according to TMZ.

Skin cancer known as melanoma, which originates in the cells that give skin its color, is a severe type, as per the Mayo Clinic. This form of cancer is often triggered by prolonged exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light, primarily from the sun, a significant provider of UV rays. Melanoma typically appears on areas of the skin frequently exposed to sunlight.

News about Blackstock’s passing emerges just a few hours following Clarkson’s announcement that she was delaying the rest of her Las Vegas residency shows in August due to her former spouse’s ill health.

With deep regret, a family spokesperson announced: ‘We mournfully inform you that Brandon Blackstock has sadly died.’

In my journey as a lifestyle enthusiast, I’ve had the unfortunate experience of navigating a prolonged battle against cancer-a testament to courage and resilience that few can truly understand. Yet, after more than three years of unwavering determination, I found myself peacefully departing, surrounded by the love and support of my cherished family.

Appreciation goes out to you for your kind thoughts and prayers. We kindly request that everyone respects the family’s need for privacy as they navigate through a challenging period.

43-year-old Clarkson and Blackstock became parents to River, now 11, and Remington, who is nine, prior to their separation in the year 2020.

Blackstock also had son Seth, 19, and a grandson, Lake.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’d rephrase that statement like this: Approximately a month prior to Blackstock’s passing, I learned with joy that Savannah was anticipating the arrival of her second bundle of joy – a precious little girl.

She posted on Instagram, “We’ve got a couple delightful secrets up our sleeves. The first tiny member of our family is due in early January, and another precious girl called Julianna has already brought immense joy to us.

God’s faithfulness is truly remarkable. He’s crafted a tale beyond our wildest dreams, and His compassion during this time leaves us utterly astounded. He’s responded to prayers we didn’t even know how to articulate. This path we walk has been incredibly unique, filled with tranquility, anticipation, and an abundance of grace. We find ourselves growing once more, and our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

In March of this year, Blackstock was most recently seen, appearing somewhat weak alongside River, Remington, his brother Shelby, and McEntire at the Houston Rodeo.

Narvel Blackstock, a movie producer, was married to country singer Reba McEntire from 1989 until 2015. Together, they have a daughter named Shelby, who is currently 35 years old.

On Wednesday, Clarkson disclosed in a statement that a health concern regarding Blackstock necessitated her temporary departure from the stage.

She mentioned that she regrettably has to move the rest of the August Studio Sessions scheduled in Las Vegas to a later time.

Usually, I prefer to maintain privacy about my personal life, but unfortunately, over the last year, their father has been unwell. At present, I am required to devote all of my attention to them.

She expressed heartfelt apologies to everyone who purchased tickets for the shows, and she is deeply grateful for your patience, compassion, and understanding.

Clarkson failed to provide details on the fate of fans who had previously bought tickets for her rescheduled concert dates.

Clarkson started dating Blackstock in 2012, and they got married in the year that followed.

Initially, they shared a relationship that was both personal and professional, with her spouse acting as her supervisor as well.

In 2015, Clarkson penned the song “Piece By Piece” as a tribute to Blackstock, whom she acknowledged provided her with the sense of safety and stability that her father had not.

In my personal journey, I found myself navigating through complex financial disputes starting from June 2020, following Clarkson’s decision to file for divorce due to irreconcilable differences. The ensuing years have been marked by a series of legal battles between us.

It’s been reported that their contentious divorce was officially settled in March 2022; however, it wasn’t until a year after that, Clarkson secured a $2.6 million court ruling in her favor against her ex-husband.

According to Clarkson, her husband was wrongfully collecting millions in commissions from deals that were supposed to be managed by a talent agent, not her manager. Eventually, the California Labor Commissioner sided with Clarkson on this matter.

The decision was made that Blackstock acted beyond bounds by circumventing the representatives of Clarkson, through Creative Artists Agency.

By May 2024, the former spouses had come to an agreement in Clarkson’s legal dispute concerning commission fees.

The artist who creates hits had earlier obtained a $2.6 million court ruling for deals made by Blackstock on her behalf since 2017. However, she alleged that he had been acting as both her talent agent and manager as far back as 2007, thereby potentially misusing his position. Consequently, she demanded a detailed breakdown of the commissions paid to her former spouse.

In my line of expertise, I must share that although Clarkson and Blackstock mutually asked for their lawsuit to be withdrawn post-settlement, the specifics of the agreement remain private.

In 2022, the artist known for “Moment Like This” reached an agreement to provide her ex-spouse with a one-time payment of $1.3 million as part of their divorce terms.

They also agreed that Clarkson would pay Blackstock $45,601 per month in child support payments.

Beyond that, I was obligated to remit $115,000 monthly as spousal maintenance, a duty that was slated to conclude in January of the previous year.

In addition to other obligations, I was required to provide Blackstock with $115,000 every month for alimony, but this arrangement was supposed to cease in January from the preceding year.

In a mutual decision, the former partners arranged for shared custody of River and Remington. However, these kids will mainly reside in Los Angeles with their mom, while they’ll spend one weekend every month visiting their father at his house in Montana.

As of then, he was still paying Clarkson his share of the rent for their ranch in Montana, which they previously co-owned, until his planned move-out date in June 2022.

The agreement ensured that Blackstock continued to manage livestock such as cows, dogs, and horses on their farm, along with maintaining several vehicles for property use, including an ATV, snowmobiles, and two pickup trucks – a Ford F-350 and an F-250.

In the agreement, Clarkson was permitted to retain her small household animals, along with a baby grand piano, hunting gear, and all their firearms – including those acquired prior to and throughout their marriage.

This year, for several weeks straight, the hostess of the talk show named after herself unexpectedly didn’t appear, resulting in her absence from a total of 10 episodes.

Clarkson hadn’t provided an explanation for her absence initially. However, in May, she expressed her concerns about the show’s rigorous schedule during a live performance, stating that it prevented her from touring as extensively as she desired.
