Kelly Clarkson’s daughter River Rose, 11, melts hearts with surprise duet alongside mom at Vegas show

On Friday during her Las Vegas residency, Kelly Clarkson’s daughter, River Rose, unexpectedly took the stage alongside her mother for a live performance.

43-year-old powerhouse vocalist and an 11-year-old sensation delighted spectators as they teamed up for a duet at The Colosseum, Caesars Palace.

In a shared video on X, the charming pair of mother and daughter harmoniously sung Carrie Underwood’s “Heartbeat Song,” both adorned in sparkling t-shirts and flared trousers embellished with sequins.

At the eleventh hour, Kelly, who had emotionally delayed the launch of her residency performances, was spotted dancing with River, both of them clutching microphones.

At some point, the beaming mother embraced her daughter, who is shared with her former spouse Brandon Blackstock (aged 48). They also have a son together named Remington Alexander Blackstock (9 years old).

In a post, the enthusiast shared that Clarkson mentioned to the crowd prior to their duet, “Apparently, my daughter River Rose asked me, ‘I want to perform tonight!’

Previously, Clarkson and her daughter had sung the same song as a duet at a concert in Las Vegas back in August 2023.

At the time the singer noted that River had been ‘jamming out to the song since she was a baby.’

She added that her daughter ‘loves this song so much.’

Last Friday, Clarkson commenced her long-anticipated Las Vegas residency; this was a week following instances where she disappointed fans by abruptly cancelling performances.

Apart from entertaining the audience with her performances, she also expressed regret for having to cancel the initial two shows of her residency.

In a TikTok clip captured by an audience member, Clarkson apologized, saying, “I’m really sorry for those who couldn’t attend the concerts over the weekend because they had tickets.

I apologize deeply. Our bodies aren’t always cooperative, and unfortunately, this is one of those times. Thank you for coming nonetheless. We’re truly thrilled!

In the thrill of a devoted fan, I can’t help but share that merely ninety minutes prior to my eagerly anticipated performance, Kelly took to Instagram with a heavy heart. She expressed her deep sorrow about having to reschedule the shows due to exhausting rehearsals.

In a message to her followers, Clarkson expressed that she and her team have tirelessly worked around the clock to ensure Studio Sessions becomes an incredibly personal and extraordinary encounter between herself and her phenomenal fans.

I can’t express enough my appreciation for your constant support, and it’s heartbreaking to have to reschedule tonight’s and tomorrow’s event at Caesars.

Kelly mentioned that the preparations and rehearsals have left her voice tired, and she aims to make the performances flawless for you all.

She mentioned, “To prevent causing significant harm, I’m planning to take this weekend and the upcoming week for rest. This way, we can ensure that we deliver the quality work you expect.

Let me put it this way: ‘This performance is simply amazing! The musicians and vocalists are top-notch, and I believe we should all make a powerful beginning.’

To wrap things up, I’m eagerly looking forward to returning next weekend and sharing with you all the exciting projects we’ve been developing behind the scenes.

Just hours prior to the surprising declaration, Clarkson posted backstage pictures of her own preparations for the residency, accompanied by the caption, ‘Tonight!’

1. First person: “Completely disappointed that we flew to Las Vegas just to learn the show was canceled a mere 1.5 hours before it started. So sad!!!!”

2. Second person: “Standing right outside the entrance,” accompanied by tears emoji.

In both cases, I have tried to maintain the original tone and intent while making the sentences more natural and easy to read.

Earlier this February, the entertainer unveiled her upcoming Las Vegas engagement at The Colosseum, Caesars Palace. This announcement followed her previous residency at Planet Hollywood Resort, which spanned from 2023 to 2024.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I was excitedly looking forward to launching this year’s residency program, with the opening events scheduled for the 4th of July and a follow-up performance the very next day.

Clarkson is currently co-parenting with ex-husband Blackstock.

For approximately seven years, she was wedded to the talent executive, but in June 2020, she initiated divorce proceedings that were concluded in 2022.
