Kelly Clarkson stays busy: Singer books new Las Vegas residency to start this summer
Las Vegas is about to get another helping of Kelly Clarkson.
On Thursday, the Grammy-winning artist who found fame on “American Idol” and now hosts a daytime talk show announced her return to Las Vegas for a new residency starting in summer. Known for hits like “Since U Been Gone” and “Breakaway,” she will launch her 18-show Studio Sessions at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on July 4. This residency is divided into two parts, with the first segment concluding on Aug. 16, followed by another leg from Nov. 7 to Nov. 15.
Kelly Clarkson, known for her rise to pop fame following her victory in the first season of “American Idol” in 2002, is planning a second Las Vegas residency at Studio Sessions. Initially, she was scheduled to host the Invincible residency at PH Live (previously Zappos Theater and Bakkt Theater) at Planet Hollywood in 2020. However, due to the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, her 2020 residency didn’t materialize as planned.
Music
On Monday, twenty years after being named the initial ‘American Idol’ champion, singer Kelly Clarkson received an honorary celebration on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
In the future, she will take her “Chemistry: An Intimate Evening with Kelly Clarkson” residency to PH Live, which is scheduled to begin in July 2023 and conclude in February 2024, spanning a total of 14 shows.
Clarkson expressed his enthusiasm about returning to Las Vegas in a press statement, stating, ‘This time we’re taking the studio to the stage for ‘Studio Sessions!’ Can’t wait to see you all there!’
In June 2023, singer-songwriter Clarkson unveiled her latest album titled “Chemistry.” This release, inspired by her divorce from country music manager Brandon Blackstock, garnered a nomination for the 2024 Grammy Awards in the category of pop vocal album. Apart from her musical endeavors, Clarkson has been keeping herself occupied with numerous television commitments. Most notably, her daytime talk show, “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” has seen her relocate from L.A. to New York. In December, this popular series was renewed for a seventh season.
Television
As a passionate movie buff, I can’t help but express my admiration for Kelly Clarkson, the talented “Voice” judge and former “American Idol” champion. In her new daytime talk show, she aims to uplift and comfort us all – sharing not just her wisdom, but also her own heartaches along the way.
Following the conclusion of performances by Rod Stewart, Blake Shelton, and Garth Brooks at the Colosseum, Clarkson will assume control over the venue. Tickets for Clarkson’s concerts at Caesars Palace will be available for purchase starting February 14th. For details about ticket presale and the exact dates of the residency, please visit the hotel’s website.
