At the end of this month, Kelly Clarkson will resume her duties as host for her talk show, following the tragic passing of her former spouse, Brandon Blackstock, on August 7th.
The 43-year-old will be returning for season 7 of The Kelly Clarkson Show on September 29 per NBC.
Since the first episode’s scheduled airing date is coming up next week, it’s anticipated that studio filming will begin again within that timeframe.
A host of well-known celebrities are set to make appearances over the coming weeks, such as: Emily Blunt, Marion Cotillard, Colin Farrell, Scarlett Johansson, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Matthew McConaughey, Lionel Richie, Julia Roberts, Shonda Rhimes, Margot Robbie, Sylvester Stallone, Channing Tatum, and Reese Witherspoon, along with several others.
The talent manager died on August 7, aged 48, of natural causes after battling malignant melanoma.
Kelly delayed her Las Vegas residency to devote more time to her children, River (eleven years old) and Remington (nine years old), just prior to his passing.

Reba McEntire, who was stepmother to Brandon, also filmed her appearance for Season 28.
Brandon’s death was announced by a family representative on the day he died.
They informed everyone back then: ‘With deep regret, we announce the tragic news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away.’
‘For over three years, Brandon courageously fought against cancer. In the end, he found peace, with his loved ones by his side. We appreciate all the well-wishes and prayers sent our way, and kindly request that everyone grant us privacy as we navigate through this challenging period.’

The famous singer, having gone through a contentious breakup with their manager, shared on X just before their passing that they would have to reschedule the remaining Studio Session dates in Las Vegas for August due to unavoidable circumstances.
Although I usually prefer to maintain privacy about my personal life, the past year has been challenging as my children’s father has fallen ill. At present, I am focusing all my energy on being there for them during this difficult time.
Despite the singer disclosing that Brandon was unwell, she chose not to elaborate on the specifics concerning his illness.
