Kelly Clarkson Ditches Dresses for Denim After Mysterious Absence

Kelly Clarkson seems to have thrown in her sartorial towel a bit.

Over the past few days, I’ve found myself forgoing my favorite party dresses and high heels while hosting my namesake show. It’s not a habit I typically embrace, but there it is.

Rather than fancy attire, the American Idol veteran opted for classic pieces such as blue jeans and relaxed shirts instead.

On a Monday, the mother of two was spotted wearing a long-sleeved, pea green blouse neatly tucked into snug-fitting blue denims.

Last week, the artist known for stronger hits showcased a delicate, patterned peasant blouse made of sheer fabric, along with denim pants again, without using a belt this time.

After a stretch of unexpected absences from my beloved daytime TV show, I find myself left yearning for answers with no concrete clarification provided yet.

Regardless of the style, Kelly still manages to look fabulous; it’s her charm and allure that truly stand out.

On Mondays, she welcomed lifestyle guru Martha Stewart, renowned chef Jose Andres, and Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mother, as her esteemed guests.

She has yet to really explain why she was absent from her talk show for so long.

Currently, fans can anticipate an exciting development – fresh tunes – as well as potentially uncover the reason behind her disappearance.

On April 18, Kelly shared a hint about her upcoming music on Instagram by posting an album cover featuring the title “Where Have You Been?

Although she hasn’t disclosed the exact release date, Kelly hinted at it by captioning her Instagram post as ‘Soon…’.

In January, it was revealed that Kelly had established her very own record company. For the initial time in her professional journey, she will independently publish her fresh tunes.

Clarkson hasn’t publicly addressed her absence from her show.

Back in mid-March, when I graced the stage for the 1,000th episode of my beloved show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, I sent ripples through the fan community with a mysterious statement I made.

After coming back, the performer openly shared her feelings, and in honor of reaching a significant point, she confessed that she often feels “adrift and isolated.

While recording the session, the Grammy-winning artist reminisced about her path since she first launched her program on NBC back in September 2019.

Instead of directly mentioning her recent absence, she talked in general terms about experiencing various highs and lows in the past during an emotional talk without specifically explaining the reasons.

She expressed her greetings on the Kelly Clarkson Show, which happens to be our 1,000th episode. I find it hard to believe that we’ve reached this milestone; it’s amazing!

She went on to say: ‘We’ve come across many incredibly gifted individuals, numerous famous celebrities, and ordinary people who truly inspire us.’

She enthusiastically talked about the fact that they’ve built a strong community where everyone – her team, herself, and their fans – has stood together during various highs and lows.

Kelly is preparing herself for her Las Vegas engagement at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, which begins on the 4th of July and continues till 15th November 2025, spanning a total of 18 shows.

Kelly has an upcoming two-day concert at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, scheduled for May 9th and 10th.

This month, Kelly received accolades from Sheryl Crow following her rendition of Sheryl’s 1993 hit “All I Wanna Do” during her Kellyoke performance.

Instead of using all her might, she remarkably adhered to the initial melody and didn’t fully employ the extensive range of her robust three-octave voice.

Afterwards, Kelly expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “I’ve always been a huge admirer of hers! From the start, she’s been an amazing artist in my eyes.

Oh my goodness, Kelly Clarkson could easily sing a telephone directory! I prefer this rendition over my own!

Kelly has two kids with her former spouse, Brandon Blackstock. Their relationship is currently frosty.

Kelly and Brandon are parents to son Remington Alexander, eight, and daughter River Rose, 10.

In the year 2022, their divorce became official. Yet, even before that, they encountered a challenging legal dispute arising from their past business partnership.

She and her ex-husband were married for nearly seven years before calling it quits in June 2020.

Last year, she filed a lawsuit against Blackstock, alleging that he had conducted business transactions without her authorization.

In May 2024, they resolved the disputes about commissions that had been ongoing since their divorce was made official two years prior, marking the end of a lengthy and tumultuous court case.
