Kelly Brook giggled as she regaled me with tales of her very colourful love life.
Let me tell you, spending an afternoon at the Chateau Marmont with a friend was a riot! We were having tea and just chatting, and she had me in stitches recounting stories about Danny Cipriani – honestly, some of his antics were unbelievable! It wasn’t all drama though; she fondly remembered Billy Zane as a genuinely sweet guy. It’s funny how you remember different things about past relationships, isn’t it?
However, her attitude shifted as soon as I brought up Jason Statham. Kelly, who was a popular model at the time, had dated the British actor for eight years, from 1997 to 2004.
Back then they were top tabloid fodder and one of the most talked about celebrity couples.
Most people still remember the daring Julien McDonald dress she wore to the premiere of Guy Ritchie’s 2000 film, *Snatch*, which starred Jason Statham.
‘He was the best,’ she told me, coming across as melancholic for the first time during our meeting.
Kelly shared that she wished things had turned out differently with that relationship. She admitted she often thought about how much her life would have changed if she and Jason had gotten married.

Kelly has been romantically involved with three well-known figures: Billy from the movie *Titanic*, former rugby player and *Strictly Come Dancing* contestant Thom Evans, and Dave McIntosh, who appeared on the *Gladiators* television show.
But she didn’t marry until she met Italian model and actor Jeremy Parisi, 40.
She admitted that if she and Jason had remained a couple, she likely would have started a family with him, and playfully acknowledged that his current fiancee, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, is very fortunate.
Kelly is falling for judo champion Jeremy, but she still seems to be holding onto some sadness about her past relationship with Jason, who was her first love and someone she remembers fondly.
I first met Kelly when I was a journalist and she was an actress on the TV show *One Big Happy*. Ellen DeGeneres was one of the show’s producers.
I understood how she felt because I’d been in a similar situation. I once appeared on the ITV show *Loose Women* to discuss the emotional impact on a woman when her ex-partner has a child with someone new.

Jason and Rosie are parents to two children: eight-year-old Jack and three-year-old Isabella.
Kelly, who will be 46 in November, recently shared her feelings about not having children. She admitted it was likely too late for her to become a mother and that she was still processing those emotions.
She even talked about how she’d feel if she and Jeremy split up and he had a child with another woman.
I’m worried about what it would feel like if our marriage didn’t last and he eventually had children with someone else. We agreed not to have kids, but I think it would still really hurt me.
Kelly was 36 when she met Jeremy. Soon after, she told me that meeting him later in life was a significant factor in their relationship.
She had recently gone through a difficult breakup with Dave McIntosh, whom she believed had been unfaithful (though he insisted he hadn’t), and was delighted to be in a new relationship.
She knew she wasn’t as young as she used to be. ‘I found the person I wanted to spend my life with quite late – I was 36!’ she explained, adding that she and her partner had chosen to focus on a more relaxed way of life.
She explained that she and Jeremy simply wanted a calm and quiet life together, and neither of them really felt a desire to have children and deal with all the challenges that come with raising them.

Although Kelly had often stated she didn’t want children, even describing herself as ‘childless by choice,’ she was heartbroken when she miscarried in May 2011.
She was dating Thom Evans and, sadly, they experienced another miscarriage a year later, losing a second child.
The couple split up in January 2013, and Evans is currently dating Nicole Scherzinger, who is known for being a member of the Pussycat Dolls.
Because Kelly readily shares details about her personal life, she frequently receives questions about having children in interviews.
You know, it’s funny how things change! Back in 2015, I was really clear with myself that motherhood just wasn’t in the cards for me. I honestly felt like my life was perfect as it was. I was thriving – I loved the freedom to travel, I was passionate about my work, and I was really enjoying exploring my creative side. It felt like adding anything else would disrupt that balance, and at the time, I was certain that wasn’t something I wanted.
I’m really happy with how things are going – everything is well-organized and running smoothly. It would take someone truly special to make me want to change anything, because I’ve put a lot of effort into building this life.
She explained that it’s really challenging for self-employed mothers like her to make ends meet after having a baby, as it significantly disrupts their work.

Kelly, who was raised on a council estate in Rochester, Kent, has always prioritized her career.
She started modelling at 16, quickly becoming a well-known Page 3 girl in the UK. Before that, she hosted the popular TV show *Big Breakfast* on Channel 4, and later became the original host of *Love Island* in 2005.
I’ll never forget what someone close to her told me – even back then, everyone *always* treated her like a huge star, despite what people might think about her being a glamour model. It was like they just knew she was special, you know? It always struck me as so odd, but amazing.
She wanted to move beyond just modeling, so she trained as an actress and then moved to Hollywood to pursue her new career.
Kelly came back to the UK after spending a year in Hollywood, but Jason remains based there, splitting his time between Los Angeles and Dulwich, a neighborhood in southeast London where he used to live with Kelly.
I was really touched by Kelly’s vulnerability when she talked about her split – you could just see the sadness. I truly hope she’s able to move forward and isn’t dwelling on what could have been. And honestly, I’m glad to hear her say she’s choosing to live a life without children; it’s so important to own your decisions and live authentically.
