Keith Urban unexpectedly cancelled a concert in South Carolina shortly after announcing his divorce from Nicole Kidman, his wife of 19 years.
The country singer, 57, had to cancel his Greenville concert because he developed laryngitis, an inflammation of the voice box.
The concert, originally planned for Thursday night at Bon Secours Wellness Arena, was canceled on doctor’s advice. Keith Urban was told by Dr. Gaelyn Garrett of the Vanderbilt Voice Center to rest his voice.
He’s been ordered to completely rest his voice, but his doctor, Dr. Garrett, believes he’ll be well enough to perform at his show in Nashville.
Urban is still scheduled to preform in Nashville, Tennessee tomorrow Friday, October 17.
Laryngitis is an inflammation of the larynx, or voice box, which makes your voice sound hoarse or raspy, as explained by The Mayo Clinic.
This condition usually happens after a viral infection, such as a cold, or from overuse of your voice. Thankfully, it often gets better on its own within a couple of weeks.
He’s getting some time to rest up before his Las Vegas show, “High In Vegas,” starts again at the Fontainebleau next month in November.

The 58-year-old Academy Award winner, who split from her country singer partner earlier this summer, gave an interview for a magazine cover story in late August.
The couple hadn’t announced their split yet, but the interviewer could tell something was different between them.
The journalist, Wendell Steavenson, felt it was likely Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban had separated based on how their conversation was going, but he didn’t want to ask them directly.
Steavenson noted that when she asked Nicole Kidman how she felt about being in her 50s, she anticipated a typical, comforting answer about the wisdom that comes with age. However, Kidman responded with a dry, regretful, and hesitant tone, revealing her own uncertainty.
Nicole Kidman shared a thought that, looking back, felt particularly insightful. She wondered, ‘How often do we learn that life doesn’t always go as planned, even when we feel certain about our future?’
While Nicole Kidman didn’t talk about her romantic life, she did share that she spent her summer with family and friends while filming the sequel to Practical Magic in London.
She described her ideal summer as filled with activities like visiting Hyde Park and attending concerts, going to festivals like Glastonbury and Salisbury, seeing shows like Evita, exploring Hampstead Heath with walks and swims, and generally enjoying the theater.

According to the filing, Kidman requested to be designated as the primary residential parent.

According to the Daily Mail, Keith is now said to be dating a female musician whose identity hasn’t been revealed.
There’s been speculation that he’s dating 25-year-old country singer Maggie Baugh, but sources also suggest he could be with Kelsea Ballerini, who is 32.
Nicole and Keith were last seen together in public at a FIFA World Cup match in Nashville, Tennessee, back in June.
Nicole remains at their $4 million Nashville home with their two teenage daughters.
The actress was reportedly left ‘blindsided’ by the split.
One Daily Mail source explained, ‘Keith never sees Nicole, either she is filming or he is on tour.
Despite their love for each other, and the possibility they might not divorce, they live separate lives, disconnected from truly sharing one together.

Just one day after her birth, Sunday, one of Nicole Kidman’s daughters with a musician, returned to work. This coincided with Christian Dior’s new collection reveal at Paris Fashion Week.
The model appeared on the runway last week and then shared videos of her walk on social media, complimenting the spring-summer collection.
She shared a post with thanks to everyone who worked on her recent show, and simply wrote ‘j’adore dior’ as the caption.
