Keira Knightley’s dark Christmas movie is now available to watch for free
As a seasoned gamer and movie enthusiast with over two decades of binge-watching experience, I must say that “Silent Night” is not your typical holiday flick! This black comedy, starring the ever-graceful Keira Knightley, takes the Christmas spirit to a whole new level, or rather, a darker one.
As a devoted admirer, I must admit that “Love Actually” remains a cherished holiday classic for many, largely due to the captivating performance by Keira Knightley. Yet, there’s another unique Christmas tale she graced with her presence some years back – a tale quite distinct from the one in “Love Actually.
Under the guidance of director Camille Griffin, the film titled “Silent Night” offers an exceptional blend of humor and darkness. At first glance, it appears to be a conventional holiday movie, bringing together a group of friends for a grand Christmas get-together. However, as the story unfolds, it reveals itself to be anything but ordinary.
This time around, they are facing the grim reality that their last Christmas together will be followed by a toxic gas cloud which could take their lives. They must now weigh the option of choosing their own fate, whether to end it themselves or face an uncertain and potentially fatal future.
Should you not have watched it yet or wish to revisit it, the movie titled “Silent Night” is now accessible for viewing at no cost on Tubi, a free, advertisement-supported streaming platform that debuted in the UK during July 2024.
The film “Silent Night” boasts an impressive ensemble with the likes of Matthew Goode, Annabelle Wallis, Roman Griffin Davis, Sope Dirisu, Lily-Rose Depp, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, and Lucy Punch gracing its cast.
However, if you’re planning to enjoy a pleasant holiday viewing experience, be advised that the film Silent Night takes an ominous turn at its conclusion. (Feel free to share your thoughts on it afterwards with Wallis’s review.)
On Tubi, you’ll find alternative Christmas movie choices such as Seth Rogen’s adult comedy “The Night Before” and Adam Sandler’s “Eight Crazy Nights”. If you’re not in the holiday spirit, they also offer thrillers like “Inheritance” and “Panic Room”.
If you’re a fan of Keira Knightley and want more of her work, don’t forget to watch her latest action-packed espionage film, “Black Doves“, currently available for streaming on Netflix.
Additionally, the streaming platform has recently included the 2007 British romantic film “Atonement,” which served as a significant career milestone for Saoirse Ronan.
Silent Night is available to watch now on Tubi.
