Keanu Reeves and director Tim Miller are working together on a new science fiction movie. Warner Bros. has announced the film, currently known as Shiver, is planned for release in 2027.

The movie Shiver is currently scheduled to come out on August 13, 2027. While details about the plot are scarce, it’s been described as a story about a smuggler trapped in a time loop. He has to survive dangerous mercenaries and sharks in the Caribbean, reliving the same deadly day over and over until he can break free.

Ian Shorr is writing the screenplay for the film, and Tim Miller will direct. The film, titled Shiver, is being produced by Matthew Vaughn, Aaron Ryder, Andrew Swett, and John Zaozirny. According to Bloody Disgusting, Keanu Reeves’ film Shiver is scheduled for release in August, putting it in competition with a new, currently unnamed horror film from Blumhouse and Universal. Besides Shiver, Reeves will also appear in an animated John Wick prequel and Constantine 2, which is still being developed, according to IMDb.

Reeves Will Be Back as John Wick in a Fifth Movie

Keanu Reeves will be back for another John Wick movie, confirmed by Lionsgate, though a release date hasn’t been revealed yet. Director Chad Stahelski has shared that the fifth film will continue the story after the events of John Wick: Chapter 4. The previous movie ended with Wick seemingly dying from injuries sustained in a battle with Caine (Donnie Yen).

According to director Chad Stahelski, the story of John Wick felt complete. To justify a fifth film, they needed a fresh narrative involving the character, rather than simply continuing the plot with the High Table. He feels John Wick has processed his grief, and the new movie will be significantly different, promising a trailer that will leave viewers shocked and eager to see more.

Lionsgate announced a fifth John Wick movie in 2023, with Keanu Reeves reprising his role as John Wick, even though he initially wasn’t sure about continuing the part. Currently, Reeves is the only actor confirmed to be in John Wick 5. The John Wick series has made over $1 billion worldwide across its four films.
