Keanu Reeves Is Returning for ‘John Wick 5’

John Wick isn’t retiring from his assassin role anytime soon, as it has been confirmed by Lionsgate Motion Picture Group chairman Adam Fogelson that Keanu Reeves will reprise his character in the upcoming film, John Wick 5.

The announcement was made at CinemaCon this year, revealing that Keanu Reeves, franchise directors Chad Stahelski, and producers Chad Stahelski, Basil Iwanyk, and Erica Lee will all be back for the fifth installment. In a statement to IGN, Fogelson expressed excitement about their return, stating, “Keanu, Chad, Basil, and Erica would not return unless they had something exceptional and innovative to contribute to these characters and this world. We can’t wait for audiences to follow us on the next leg of the journey.” Iwanyk and Lee also shared their thoughts, emphasizing the importance of telling John’s story accurately and continuing it in an exciting manner.

Without disclosing specifics like release date or storyline, fans are actively brainstorming possibilities on how John Wick might reappear in the narrative following his apparent demise from wounds sustained at the end of John Wick: Chapter 4. Despite a scene showing his grave, there has been no solid evidence that his character met a permanent end, nor was it definitively established that the corpse buried in the grave belonged to him.

Stay tuned for more details.
