Kayla Itsines’ toddler son Jax walks on a treadmill and helps mop gym floor on third birthday

For Kayla Itsines, when it comes to staying in shape, you can never start too early.

The 34-year-old fitness enthusiast posted an adorable video on Instagram this week, celebrating her son Jax turning three.

The video featured a lively and energetic toddler exploring and getting into everything – a typical day for a curious little one!

The video also showed him cheerfully running on a treadmill, with his mother, Kayla, lovingly supporting him by holding his hands.

The sweet video featured Jax playing with his older sister, Arna, and receiving lots of love and attention from his dad, Jae Woodroffe.

The young player didn’t shy away from effort, as shown in a scene of him carefully mopping the gym floor.

Kayla celebrated her son JAXXXYYYYYBOOOYYYY’s third birthday with a sweet message, writing, ‘We love you!’

As a big fan, I loved seeing all the comments under Kayla’s adorable video! Everyone was saying how much fun she’s going to have raising her energetic little boy – it’s clear he’s going to keep her on her toes, and people were so sweet about it!

One person joked that the video compilation left them breathless, while another said it made their heart race so much they felt like they’d burned 200 calories from anxiety.

‘I’m pretty sure I have the exact same footage of my 4yo boy.’

It was a sentiment not lost on Kayla who replied with: ‘Tell me about it.’

Someone else perfectly captured the feeling, saying: ‘Jaxy is pure, joyful chaos, and it’s wonderful to watch him enjoy life to the fullest! Happy Birthday, Jaxy!’

It comes after Kayla revealed how she handles family disputes between her young children.

In a November Instagram post, she shared how she taught her six-year-old daughter, Arna, to stand up for herself after Arna pushed her brother and made him fall.

Kayla said her daughter had retaliated after she told her brother to stop shoving her around.

Kayla lowered herself to meet Jax’s gaze and, speaking clearly and deliberately, told him, “She told you to stop. You need to listen the first time.”

Kayla explained that the argument between the brother and sister began when Jax tried to grab a toy from his sister.

Before I had a chance to react, Arna spun around and pushed him with enough force that he tumbled to the floor. He immediately looked at me, clearly shocked, seeking comfort and began to cry.

Kayla and husband Jae Woodroffe, 34, tied the knot in December 2023.

Kayla and her partner welcomed their son, Jax, in January 2023. Kayla also shares parenting responsibilities for her daughter, Arna, with her former partner, Tobi Pearce.
