Kayla Itsines sparks feud rumours as her business partner Kelsey Wells is the latest to quit fitness app Sweat: ‘I sense beef between them’
Rumors of a disagreement between Kayla Itsines and her business partner, Kelsey Wells, have arisen following Kayla’s former head trainer at Sweat, her company, deciding to leave the business.
On Sunday, a surprising Instagram post from a 35-year-old mother of one revealed she was leaving the fitness app, causing fans to speculate about possible issues behind the decision.
Although neither Itaienne (34) nor Wells have spoken about any apparent disagreement between them, their followers quickly filled the comment section with observations suggesting that things might not be going smoothly.
Speculation began when Wells first made the announcement she quit Sweat over the weekend.
After approximately nine years, she decided to part ways with Sweat. Starting from June 1, 2025, she will no longer be working as a Sweat trainer.

Being among the original trainers who sweat over the creation of each of my 15 strength training programs, from the scientific aspects to the motivational messages that accompanied their release, this choice is not taken lightly,” she explained further.
‘I am no longer creating content or programming for or with that company.’
Kelsey mentioned that there are certain matters she longs to share with her audience, hinting at secretive aspects she can’t discuss publicly just yet.
Instead, Kelsey expressed her heartfelt appreciation for her husband Ryan and their 11-year-old son Anderson, whom she affectionately referred to as “Sunshine”.
‘For all the quiet acts of kindness you’ve done without asking, supporting me every day. For being my source of strength, my sanctuary, and my savior. For everything that matters. I am deeply in love with you.’
Afterward, Kelsey expressed gratitude towards the compassionate individuals who showed her ‘consideration and regard,’ helping her advance in fitness and her professional aspirations.
She also expressed her gratitude to everyone she’s collaborated with, saying, “Thank you as well, because (even if it wasn’t intentional) you’ve helped me understand difficult realities and given me chances to develop.
At the end of her extensive write-up, Kelsey expressed gratitude towards all the women she mentored throughout her career and promised to remain present and supportive for them in the times ahead.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I wholeheartedly encourage you to never abandon self-care, health maintenance, and prioritizing mental wellness and genuine expression. In my own life, I commit to following this advice as well.
Underneath the post, Itsines was among the earliest to express well-wishes for Wells as she embarks on her new adventure.
As a devoted admirer, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with you for the last decade, witnessing your influence expand exponentially. Your tale, fervor, and unwavering commitment have served as a beacon, inspiring countless women across the globe.
‘You’ve played an instrumental part in our journey, from initiating PWR to embodying the spirit that defines SWEAT – inspiring self-confidence not just within the gym walls but also beyond. Your impact is truly remarkable.’
We’re thrilled about the upcoming plans of yours and can’t wait to see how they inspire even more women! Your empowering message is sure to reach and uplift many.
Although the statement suggested that Itaienne and Welles departed amicably, fans swiftly conjectured that things might not be as they seemed.
A user expressed regret that several original Sweat trainers, such as Chontel Duncan, Stephanie Sanzo, and Cassie Olholm, have departed from the company over the past few years.
It’s fascinating to witness their personal development and expanding impact, yet it leaves me curious about the role Sweat is playing in this culture that seems focused on change.

Remarkably, Wells appreciated the remark, yet found Issines’ initial goodbye message, which was in response to, less appealing.
One individual observed, ‘It says a lot that she preferred this response over Kayla’s initial comment.’
Other people suggested that the tone of this post seems to indicate that something unfavorable may have occurred. It could be due to a series of minor issues, but there appears to be a sense of unease or dissatisfaction.
‘I sense beef between @kayla_itsines and @kelseywells. Someone spill the tea,’ wrote another.
Wells also went on to like supportive comments left by former Sweat trainers Duncan and Olholm.
Duncan wrote, ‘Your actions are always wholehearted, and the upcoming chapter in your life promises to be nothing less than extraordinary. I eagerly anticipate what’s coming next.’
Olholm expressed, “You’ve transformed countless lives, and I am confident that whichever new journey lies ahead, you will keep making a positive difference in the lives of those you touch with your love and radiance. I am truly proud of you.
Daily Mail Australia has reached out to representatives of Kayla and Kelsey for comment.

Wells and Ittines continue to keep each other in their Instagram circles, but Wells has chosen not to follow the Sweat Business account anymore.
In December 2022, Duncan bid farewell to Sweat, expressing a touching message for the firm and Itsines. Despite having parted ways, they continue to keep in touch through Instagram.
In 2022, Sanzo departed the company to initiate her personal fitness app. Despite a low-key departure, she continues to keep up with Kayla Itsines and the Sweat social media platforms.
2023 marked a significant turning point for me when my beloved mentor, Itsines, decided to part ways with our shared company. The news hit me hard, as if a piece of my heart had been ripped away. Since then, I’ve found myself deeply immersed in the complexities of a legal tussle between us, a situation that has left me feeling a mix of sadness, confusion, and unwavering support for her.
The fitness expert made an effort to prevent Olholm from debuting her personal fitness application, “Train With Cass,” scheduled for release in October 2023.
Similar to the Sweat With Kayla application, Train With Cass provided a variety of workout videos that subscribers with paid memberships could use to exercise at home.
In my capacity as a dedicated follower, I would like to share that during the proceedings held at the South Australian Supreme Court, it was Nicholas Swan who represented Itisines’ Bikini Body Training Company. He presented arguments stating that Olholm, who was represented by Thomas McFarlane, had violated the agreed-upon restrictions regarding trade.
Olholm was asked by Bikini Body to adhere to a 12-month non-compete agreement, preventing her from working in competition with the company until February 2024.

Subsequently, an extended period of legal disputes ensued, lasting so long that the Train With Cass app’s launch by Olholm was delayed until January 2024.
In 2015, Katie Istines established Sweat alongside her former fiance, current business partner Tobi Pearce. They initially named their fitness program “Body Guide.”
Katie Istines and her ex-fiancé Tobi Pearce, who is now her business partner, founded Sweat in 2015, calling the fitness program Body Guide at first.
In 2021, they eventually chose to transfer ownership of their platform to American corporation iFIT, after witnessing a surge in at-home workouts due to gym and fitness center closures during the COVID-19 pandemic, which fueled its growth.
Despite taking control over the Sweat brand, iFIT found it challenging to sustain its success. Consequently, they reported a loss of $80 million in their initial year as owners.
After the monthly subscription fee of $20 started decreasing as gyms reopened, the company faced significant financial losses until Itisnes and Pearce resumed control of the business in November 2023.
In their respective positions, Tinee resumed her duties as the primary trainer for the platform, whereas Pearce is now concentrating on formulating the company’s long-term sustainability and expansion plans in the future.
