Kaye Adams hasn’t received an explanation from BBC Radio Scotland about why she’s been removed from her show, amidst claims of a ‘bullying’ incident.
The 62-year-old TV and radio host has been taken off the air while station managers investigate claims she yelled at and mistreated younger colleagues.
A spokesperson confirmed to the Daily Mail that Kate hasn’t received any complaints since being removed from the Mornings show on October 6th.
BBC News has reported that Kaye hasn’t completely left the company, where she’s worked since 2010.
A BBC Scotland representative stated they don’t discuss individual cases. They added that they have established procedures for handling any complaints or concerns that are brought to their attention.
They didn’t clarify if it’s standard practice, according to the BBC’s internal procedures, to not inform someone about a complaint filed against them.

Okay, so I’ve been obsessively checking for any news, and apparently, a rep for Kate told the Daily Mail that she hasn’t actually complained to the BBC about anything. Like, at all. It’s just… the BBC hasn’t received any official complaints from her. I need more details, obviously, but that’s what they’re saying!
She’s been a reliable contributor to BBC Radio Scotland for over 15 years, and throughout her time there, no concerns have ever been brought to anyone’s attention regarding her work or conduct.
Daily Mail has contacted Kaye Adams and BBC Scotland for comment.
ITV confirmed last week that Kaye Adams will continue in her current roles at the network. She will still be a regular panelist on Loose Women and will continue hosting her show, with ITV publicly voicing their support.
People at ITV, including her coworkers and managers, are reportedly surprised by what’s happening with the BBC, according to the Daily Mail.
One said: ‘Kaye is regarded as one of the more calm members of the Loose Women cast.’
The complaints were likely made through the BBC’s ‘Call It Out’ program, which was created to deal with inappropriate workplace conduct. This program was launched following a controversy involving former ‘MasterChef’ hosts Gregg Wallace and John Torode.
A BBC insider said Kaye wouldn’t be back on air for at least two weeks while they looked into the matter.

Stephen Jardine and Connie McLaughlin are currently hosting in her place.
Kaye Adams has been a panelist on Loose Women for 19 years, but she also works as a freelance presenter for the BBC and hosts a phone-in show on BBC Radio Scotland.
Kaye Adams hosts a show called ‘Mornings With Kaye Adams’ several days a week, broadcasting from 9am to noon.
According to sources, she met with the new head of audio at the station, Victoria Easton-Riley, on October 8th. A BBC insider said the meeting was unsuccessful, and she hasn’t returned to work or been on the air since.
BBC Scotland declined to address the claims made against Ms. Adams, who previously appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, but stated she remains employed by the organization.
Another senior BBC Scotland source said: ‘Kaye has been taken off air, she’s gone.
She’s been taken off air while the BBC investigates complaints about her conduct. The situation is widely discussed throughout BBC Scotland’s headquarters.
Following the issues with Gregg Wallace, the network is now handling complaints about on-screen talent much more carefully and is treating them as important matters.

Gregg was fired after an investigation confirmed 45 allegations of misconduct against him over a 19-year period. These included an instance of unwanted physical contact, three reports of him being inappropriately undressed, and other instances of offensive comments related to sex, culture, or race.
He was sacked along with John, who was found to have used an extremely offensive racist term.
The BBC has been trying to clean up its act following a number of bullying allegations.
An investigation into BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty is still in progress, and the show Strictly Come Dancing has recently faced some controversies.
In 2022, Kaye competed on a dance show with professional dancer Kai Widdrington, but she was the first celebrity eliminated.
According to a BBC Radio Scotland insider, the widespread visibility of the ‘Call It Out’ campaign has encouraged people to share information about Kaye.
Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this about Kaye! She has this amazing podcast, ‘How To Be 60,’ and it’s just so her. But get this – she actually used to tell everyone she was ten years younger! Can you even imagine? She eventually confessed, thankfully, but it’s still wild to me. I’m just obsessed with everything she does, and even this little detail is fascinating!
As a lifestyle expert, I always advise people to understand their rights, and that’s exactly what this woman did! After a decade-long fight, she finally won a case against HMRC regarding a £124,000 tax bill. The courts agreed with her – she was absolutely right to be considered a freelancer while hosting the BBC Radio Scotland programme between 2013 and 2017. It just goes to show, knowing where you stand can make all the difference!
The investigation showed she earned £155,000 for appearing in at least 160 shows for the network.
Kaye donates to several charities, including the Beatson Cancer Charity, Kindred (which supports families with children who have serious health issues), and Home-Start Glasgow North and North Lanarkshire, a charity that helps families in need.
She lives in Glasgow with her partner, tennis coach Ian Campbell. The couple have two daughters.
