KAY/O gets some love with VALORANT patch 10.06

In simpler terms, Patch 10.06 for the game VALORANT has arrived! This update includes minor power boosts for the character KAY/O, while reducing the duration of Vyse’s skills slightly.

In April 2025, we find ourselves on the first day of the month, which falls on a Tuesday. This particular Tuesday is special because Riot Games has rolled out an update for their first-person shooter game – VALORANT. As it happens, this update coincides with April Fool’s Day, but fear not, for these adjustments are no joke! Introducing: VALORANT patch 10.06.

In the latest VALORANT update, version 10.06, we observe some changes: KAY/O receives a moderate boost, Yoru experiences price adjustments, and Vyse receives a minor reduction. Additionally, there are several bug fixes to ensure smooth gameplay. Let’s explore these updates in detail.

Full VALORANT 10.06 patch notes

Initially, let’s discuss the character-specific updates we previously talked about. While these might significantly impact players who frequently use specific characters, they may not cause a substantial shift in the overall game strategy (meta).

Player behavior and performance updates

  • Improved CPU performance of Sunset by reducing the number of map specific objects that tick each frame.

Bug fixes in VALORANT patch 10.06

In the final section of the VALORANT 10.06 update, numerous bug corrections are addressed for approximately a dozen Agents. Here they are:

[List of bug fixes for each Agent]

  • Vyse
    • Fixed a bug where Vyse’s Arc Rose idle animation stopped looping when crouched.
    • Fixed a bug where destroying Vyse’s Arc Rose while she was recalling it did not respect the 40 second “destroyed” cooldown.
  • Raze
    • Fixed an issue where the Blast Pack could knock back Skye’s Trailblazer and Tejo’s Stealth Drone through walls.
  • Clove
  • Deadlock
    • Fixed an issue where hit-confirm sounds on Deadlock’s Annihilation cocoon target were abnormally loud.
  • Breach
    • Fixed an issue where Breach would go into an incorrect idle animation pose in third-person after Aftershock was fired.
  • Sova
    • Fixed an issue where Sova would go into an incorrect idle animation pose in third-person after exiting the Owl Drone.
  • KAY/O
    • Fixed a rare issue where KAY/O could appear standing up when downed during NULL/CMD.
    • Fixed an issue where ZERO//POINT’s dagger trajectory could behave unexpectedly with packet loss.
  • Gekko
    • Fixed an issue where the “Spike Down” VO would not play when Wingman was destroyed while carrying the Spike.
  • Iso
    • Fixed an issue where swapping to Iso with Double Tap active could result in the wrong UI bar displaying for spectators or observers.
  • Tejo
    • Fixed a bug where Stealth Drone was not unstealthing upon jumping up prior to its scan.

And finally, we touch on the PC only bug fixes. These are simple and deal with the Premier mode:

  • Fixed an issue where a player’s status in the Premier Hub roster list would sometimes overlap with the alert icon in certain queues.
  • Fixed an issue where the playoff bracket would not update dynamically during the second game of a best-of-three matchup.
