KAWS shared his enthusiasm for his new role, saying he’s ‘thrilled’ to become UNIQLO’s first Artist In Residence, building on their long-standing partnership. He plans to use this position to connect with artists and designers worldwide, finding new talent to collaborate with on innovative LifeWear designs. He’s excited about the possibilities and looks forward to the work ahead.

Honestly, in today’s world, art feels super important for showing what it means to be human. I’ve been following KAWS for a while, and he’s really pushing the limits of what art can be, kind of like Uniqlo is doing with clothes and their LifeWear stuff. Apparently, Uniqlo brought KAWS on as a creative lead, and they’re hoping he’ll help more people around the world get into art and just be creative – which I think is awesome!
