Katy Perry Wows in Sparkly Silver Gown Before Space Voyage!
At the Breakthrough Awards held in Santa Monica on Sunday, Katy Perry dazzled in a shimmering silver dress.
40-year-old singer known for “Hot N Cold,” captivated in a forward-thinking gown that concealed her hair while accentuating her figure with its daringly open design across the chest.
Her hair was styled in a 1920s gel-wave shape, complemented by a subtle makeup look, as she struck a pose on the red carpet for the Science Oscars event.
In most of the photos, Katy chose a more serious expression, but occasionally her genuine smile would slip through as well.
A week prior to her scheduled journey into space with Blue Origin, she made a significant appearance at the event.
The space record-setter is about to join an unprecedented space voyage – this flight marks the first time since 1963 that women will travel to space as a team.
For more than two decades, Katy – known for her space-themed songs such as E.T. – has harbored a dream of venturing into outer space.

Katy will have some esteemed companions on her April 11 flight, including journalist Gayle King, ex-NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, filmmaker Kerianne Flynn, and helicopter pilot Lauren Sánchez.
On the 11th crewed mission by Blue Origin, the team of women is set to launch from West Texas, reaching a height of approximately 65 miles above the Earth.
During their short 11-minute journey, the all-female team will travel beyond the Kármán line – a boundary that marks the edge of Earth’s atmosphere and the beginning of space.
At the Breakthrough Awards gathering, it’s possible that the upcoming flight was a topic of interest among the attendees. Notably, Lauren Sánchez and her fiancé, Jeff Bezos (who is also the founder of Blue Origin), were present at the event.
In the late hours of the night, Katy donned a contemporary black gown, perfectly fitting for the occasion, while she graced the stage at the Breakthrough Awards alongside celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Salma Hayek.
In a statement, Katy Perry mentioned that she joined the flight primarily to inspire her four-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove (shared with Orlando Bloom), to never stop pursuing her dreams.
